Port-na Craig is set in a beautiful location adjacent to the river and worth visiting in the day light to admire the view. The food was excellent and the service warm and welcoming.

We have just enjoyed a brilliant three-night stay at Port-na-Craig Inn. We had booked for one night for my birthday, but within minutes of our arrival decided that would not be enough in this beautiful location. Our decision proved to be correct! Angela, the owner, is extremely warm and welcoming and a fantastic host. She could not have made us more comfortable during our stay, providing endless coal for the fire, as well as countless trays of tea/coffee and scones/muffins. Our large bedroom was more like a lounge with a bed in it, as well as an open fire - a great place to relax. Dinners in the cosy, candlelit restaurant were beautifully served and truly delicious. We were extremely reluctant to leave, but will definitely return in the not-too-distant future.

Our second visit to Port Na Craig restaurant (first one was in December 2008).
Very cosy and warm atmosphere.

Service is still 1st class, discreet et efficient, and we enjoyed our dinner just as much as the first time.

Excellent, flavourful and delicate Scottish smoked salmon, elegantly served.
Tender Scottish beef, well cooked to our liking.

Classical cuisine, with a refined touch.

Wines by the glass are particularly well selected and served in the most appropriate glassware - as wine enthusiasts, we are very appreciative of that as well.

Yet again an excellent dining experience.

The restaurant is a perfect place for a pre-theatre meal and was a great start to our evening. Efficient and friendly service and a good menu - simple and beautifully executed.
