“A lovely B+B”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Stayed at this B and B on 1/2nd April with two kids in one of the family rooms. The room itself had a king size and two single beds with fresh contemporary decor, very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast room had a log fire and the breakfast was delicious. The owners, Heather and Michael were friendly and knowledgable re local attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Had a really nice stay here (wish we had brought the dog) ideal setting just outside of the main town of pitlochray in a country side setting, very quite and serene just the local wildlife sounds ,there was no evening dinner on offer but the proprietress gave us an excellent tip of the old Smiddy in town wonderfully fare to be had here, there's a guest room with a nice warm open coal fire with a c.d player if u so wish,I think we would have been more likely to spend time in this room if it had a t.v ,overall we had a really nice stay and a great selection of breakfast items on offer

We stayed here for a pre-Christmas weekend and would well-recommend it.

The room was cosy and comfortable, the bathroom big, with a deep bath and decent shower. I'd been drawn by the breakfast menu, which managed to exceed my keen expectations! I love a breakfast with several courses, and everything, from the buffet to the bread basket - toasted raisin bread, muffin, banana loaf - to the cooked dishes, was delicious, and pleasantly out of the ordinary compared to the usual B&B offerings. We also treated ourselves to the afternoon tea, which is a must if you stay here - easily the best I've had, really superb. It was served by the open fire in the homely guest living room.

When we left, we found we had a flat battery, so Martin and Heather offered us a jumpstart. However, the battery wouldn't charge, so Martin fetched his neighbour, whose car had a more powerful engine. We reckoned this was beyond the call, and were very grateful.

Lovely rooms, excellent food and great hospitality. Thanks, we look forward to staying again!

We had a wonderful weekend at Dalshian House. A lovely house set in beautiful surroundings. I enjoyed watching the red squirrels at breakfast time and appreciated the binoculaurs that were left on the table. The breakfast each morning filled me up till mid afternoon! My husband said this was the best breakfst he has ever had! Delciously tasty. The lounge was very comfortable to relax in at night. The roaring fire welcoming too. The little touches were appreciated - the shortbread melted in my mouth. Thanks to Heather and Nigel for a lovely weekend and recommending a great walk up to Edradour Distillery.

Excellent weekend. A lovely property set in its own grounds with its own red squirrels! Our room was comfortable and warm, with all sorts of thoughtful details (we loved the shortbread). Martin and Heather are friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts who clearly want to help their guests have a great time. The breakfast was stupendous - quite the best I have ever had in a B&B.

Just returned from a lovely weekend staying at the Dalshian Guest House in Pitlochry. Absolutely lovely and so relaxing. There can't be many hosts that pay so much attention to all the wee details that make staying away to good, sherry in the lounge, shortbread in the tin. Probably the best Scottish breakfast we've had. Well done.

We had a couple of nights here in February 2012 and its one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. Excellant service and the afternoon tea was wonderful. A lovely roaring fire and very comfortable lounge as well as well appointed bedrooms with large ensuite facilities. The little extra touches made it more special, homemade shortbread in the room as well as apples which were very welcome. Plenty parking space and not far from Pitlochry but nice and peaceful with lovely gardens. All in all a super place for a break.
