100% recommend this Hotel to anyone with or without a dog. The owners were very friendly and gave helpful advice on what to see in the area. Clean very comfortable rooms with lovely views and delicious breakfast with whisky!

Room Tip: Just ask - owners are very accomodating

After several wonderful stays at the Claymore Apartments we stayed at the hotel for a weekend break. All went very well. Friendly owners and staff, good choice for breakfast and an excellent spacious dog friendly room with a lovely view over the spectacular colourful garden. We would certainly recommend it. Looking forward to our next stay there.

We just returned from a weekend at the Claymore and can't rate it more highly! Beautiful room (No 8), very comfy bed (extra pillows etc available in room too if needed) spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate etc in room, mini fridge, hairdryer, iron, free wifi. Lovely breakfast. Stunning hotel/gardens. Already booked for same weekend next year. Highly recommended

This is the best guest house we have had the pleasure to stay in in the UK.
We stayed at the Claymore Hotel while taking a week long break in Scotland and we could not have chosen better.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the four poster room which was very spacious and had lovely big windows looking out over the front of the property. It was very comfortable, furnished to a very high standard and also nice and quiet.
Breakfast was superb and the service exceptional.
It is very well located with a very short walk to the centre of the town.

We had the pleasure of a weeks stay in one of the Claymore's Down Stairs Apartments during August with our Labrador Skye. The apartment was amazing as were Graham and Di, who were so welcoming. We would definitely recommend and will certainly go back.

We stayed at the Claymore for two nights over the first weekend in August. We were given the Clunie apartment in the new block behind the main house. These four apartments are usually let on a self catering basis but sometimes the hotel lets them between lets on a bed and breakfat basis. We could not believe our luck when Diane the owner showed us to our rooms. The living area had sofa, dining table and large TV. The kitchen area was fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There was a luxury shower room and the bedroom had a king size bed, built in wardrobe and another flatscreen TV.
The breakfast choice was varied and the portions large. We have been visiting Pitlochry for the last 12 years and have stayed in many places in the town and this is the best. The owner showed us a room in the main house and it was up to the high standards of the apartment. The only probelem I can think of will be trying to get a booking in the future as the hotel will almost certainly be full most weekends.

Like the preceding Reviewers we too felt in need of a break, and given the time of year had left booking a little late. When we rang to reserve a room we were advised that the main B & B accommodation was fully booked, but were invited to try for the first time, one of the four apartments (taking breakfast as usual in the conservatory). On arrival we were shown to the ground floor apartment named Killiecrankie. We had high expectations of the quality of the accommodation and were not disappointed. The layout, decor and high end spec of all the fittings and appliances added up to pure luxury. As expected, the entire apartment was scrupulously clean. The shower has to be the most powerful we have ever experienced !! The extra large bed was very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Although we were not staying in the main building, we didn't feel out on a limb as taking wine on the adjacent patio gave us the opportunity to meet other occupants of the apartments which was nice.

Room Tip: Apartment Killiecrankie is on the groundfloor all on one level so no problem with stairs etc. From t...
