We stayed at the Claymore for two nights over the first weekend in August. We were given the Clunie apartment in the new block behind the main house. These four apartments are usually let on a self catering basis but sometimes the hotel lets them between lets on a bed and breakfat basis. We could not believe our luck when Diane the owner showed us to our rooms. The living area had sofa, dining table and large TV. The kitchen area was fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There was a luxury shower room and the bedroom had a king size bed, built in wardrobe and another flatscreen TV.
The breakfast choice was varied and the portions large. We have been visiting Pitlochry for the last 12 years and have stayed in many places in the town and this is the best. The owner showed us a room in the main house and it was up to the high standards of the apartment. The only probelem I can think of will be trying to get a booking in the future as the hotel will almost certainly be full most weekends.

Like the preceding Reviewers we too felt in need of a break, and given the time of year had left booking a little late. When we rang to reserve a room we were advised that the main B & B accommodation was fully booked, but were invited to try for the first time, one of the four apartments (taking breakfast as usual in the conservatory). On arrival we were shown to the ground floor apartment named Killiecrankie. We had high expectations of the quality of the accommodation and were not disappointed. The layout, decor and high end spec of all the fittings and appliances added up to pure luxury. As expected, the entire apartment was scrupulously clean. The shower has to be the most powerful we have ever experienced !! The extra large bed was very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Although we were not staying in the main building, we didn't feel out on a limb as taking wine on the adjacent patio gave us the opportunity to meet other occupants of the apartments which was nice.

Room Tip: Apartment Killiecrankie is on the groundfloor all on one level so no problem with stairs etc. From t...

Stayed at the Claymore Apartments for a week whilst touring Scotland. Spotlessly clean, spacious, quality fittings and fixtures especially the hot, powerful shower a real treat after long days exploring. The 2 minute walk into the village was also very welcome with a good range of pubs and restaurants. A fantastic place well worth a visit...we will definitely return

Having stayed here in August 2011 while attending a family wedding we were so impressed that we were determined to have a 'proper holiday' here, when we could fit it in. Coming back a second time is sometimes disappointing but this definitely was not. We were greeted like old friends and occupied the same extremely comfortable room as before. Breakfast was always delicious with a variety of choices, all freshly cooked, and plenty of fresh fruit available too.

Pitlochry is a lovely little town and there are plenty of places of interest nearby so you don't have to stray too far if you don't want to. We hope it is not as long as two years before we are able to visit again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have a beautiful view of the well kept and very pretty front garden (fantastic la...

We needed a few days away and being already familiar with the beautiful and quiet Pitlochry area we booked B&B at short notice in what was described as a de-luxe room in the Claymore. It seemed expensive but on arrival to our pleasure the room turned out to be a really well designed modern self catering apartment with very well appointed dining/kitchen/lounge and a shower room with a family sized shower. Beds were very comfortable. We felt very private and secure in the flat ; one of four in a quiet building separate from the main hotel. Our hosts and their staff were welcoming ,attentive friendly and efficient .Breakfasts were served in a very pleasant airy conservatory in an informal atmosphere in the main house.

Room Tip: check if you can get a better deal by phoning the hotel direct.

Hi booked the Claymore Apartments at short notice for two nights, mid-week, as a couple with one small dog. This accomodation is out of this world, modern, clean, great quality fixtures and fittings and spacious, clean to the standard that you feel you are the first people to visit. We visit Pitlochry regularly and will definitely be back. The owners are just lovely people offering a relaxed and open welcome. I cannot recommend this accomodation highly enough!
Great location, exceptional standard.

Room Tip: Ground floor apartments are offered to dog owners.

What a great place to stay! Starting with a warm welcome from Graeme we immediately felt at home. With a beautifull room, great view over the garden and the convienently location this was one of the best places we have stayed. The hospitality and nice surrounding made us decide to stay one more night. Thanks to Graeme and Diane for having us and we will try your porridge next time!
