we have have been visiting pitlochry for a few year,s now and allways stay at the Claymore, in fact we plan our visit at least 2 months in advance to make sure we get our favorite room .We all ways look forward to seeing Graeme and diane who allways make us very welcome as they do with all there guests. The hotel is a fine looking buildiing and Graeme keeps the garden and lawn in great condition which gives you an idea of what to exspect inside. We never have to worry about parking as there is plenty of space even when the hotel is full. The rooms are very clean and tidy and a great breakfast is served in a light and spacest breakfast area by very freindly staff. All in all the Claymore is a lovely place to stay when visiting Pitlochry.
Ps, dont forget Claymore Apartments..

Excellent! Excellent! What a great place with great hosts! The location is superb and the hosts' recommendedations of thing to do in and around town were all great suggestions. Rooms were well decorated amd clean and having breakfast in the sun room every morning just makes it feel like a holiday.

The town is magnificent and I could have stayed there forever! Lots to see and do!

I've just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Claymore Apartments in Pitlochry. The apartments are beautiful, very clean, and have everything you would need for a real home from home and more. If you're looking for a luxury apartment in a stunning location, then you can't beat them. As an added bonus, the ground floor apartments also take dogs and Sam really enjoyed his holiday. Diane, Graeme and the family made us feel very welcome as always. I'll definately be returning soon.

What a fabulous B'n'B. I actually booked the Claymore after Fishers hotel lost our booking there and I couldn't be happier that they did! We stayed for one night while attending the Enchanted Forest, but I could easily have stayed longer. We were welcomed by Diane as soon as we set foot in the door, having been upgraded to a better room, and made to feel as if nothing we could ask for would be too much. Nice sizeable room with a lovely ensuite, both of which were immaculately clean, and, without a doubt, the comfiest bed I've ever slept on away from home.

Breakfast was also outstanding, with some wonderful chat from Graeme. I loved that you could decide what to order the night before, to minimise the amount of wasted food. If you're visiting Pitlochry or any nearby attractions I thoroughly recommend you stay at the Claymore, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed here for 3 nights in October - we hadn't pre booked but this hotel had a look about it - and we were not disappointed - Graeme and Diane were excellent hosts - our room was superb - massive king size bed - room 8 - but next time we are going to stay in room 3 which we had a look at before we left - large room which contains a lovely 4 poster bed - sadly not available for our impromptu visit...the place is spotless with 24 hour heating to control yourself......another plus point for the other half was the porridge served with a generous douse of the Claymore whisky.....that along with the black pudding a definate excuse for a revisit. Two places to eat The Auld Smiddy just down the road and Fern Cottage - absolutely delicious - and the curry house wasnt too bad either. There is also the option of getting a take out to eat in the lovely conservatory where plates, cutlery etc are left out to use. Cant wait to return, thanks Karen and John

We have stayed at The Claymore Hotel twice in the month of October and we have not been disappointed. If you are thinking of booking, then do it soon, as this Hotel gets booked up very quickly.
The purpose of our visit was for relaxation and to vist the FABULOUS Enchanted Forrest.
The Claymore is very clean, bedrooms are lovley & warm, plenty of parking spaces for guests.
The breakfast is great with plenty of choice. Althought they dont do lunch or evening meals, you can order a packed lunch or you are welcome to use the dining room if you bring in a takeaway meal.
A great loaction, just a 2 minute walk to nearby shops, bars restaurants.
Pitlochry is a beuatiful town with loads to see & do. Great for walking/hiking and cycling.
A 10 minute drive to the Beautiful Blair Atholl castle (entrance fee applies) and we highly recommend a visit to the Blair Atholl Watermill Tearoom.
If you run out of things to do in Pitlochry (which we doubt) the tv in hotel room has a built in dvd player and their is a large selection of dvd's in the reception area that gueats can use (or bring you own).
There is no leisure facilities here, but you can use the facilities at the nearby Scotland's Hotel on Bonnethill Road (£5 fee).
Hosts Graeme & Diane are very helpful with a good knowledge of the local and surrounding area.
Nothing is a bother for these hosts.
All in all a fabulous hotel, with comfy & relaxing rooms.
We will definitely be returning.

Just had a wonderful weekend at The Claymore, Graham as others have said is very friendly and has lots of knowledge of the local area. Stayed in Room 9, a superior double, which was excellent, the bed extremely comfy and room very peaceful. Breakfast was an absolute triumph with the best black pudding I have experienced in any B&B. Another major plus for me was that heating was on 24 hours so you could control the heat yourself with the radiator thermostats so no chance of being cold. Definately one I hope to return to.
