If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place to go! It was one of the most relaxing weekends with wonderful views and red squirrels running up and down the trees outside the bedroom window. We stayed in Bealach. It was roomy, comfortable and cosy. Would definitely go back but for three nights next time! We didnt want to go home!

Great, long summer weekend had by all in Kinnaird. Lodge accommodation has fantastic views, is spacious, comfortable & clean with decking and bbq. Almost everything provided so all we had to buy was charcoal for bbq, food and drink. The walk into Pitlochry is just under 2 miles which is fine if you don't mind walking on a road in parts. Surrounding area has lots of walks, one of the best is to the top of Ben Vrackie. Good pubs and restaurants in Pitlochry. Would book this accommodation again.

We stayed in Ben-y-Vrackie cabin and found the cabin roomy and comfortable. Everything was provided from cups, plates, glasses, cutlery to tomato ketchup! The only thing we needed to bring were towels and £1 coins for the electric meter. The cabins are in a brilliant location with views off the town and mountains. Look out for birds and red squirrels in the garden.
In general if looking for peace, quiet and a good touring base then this is place. Highly recommended!

I stayed at one of the lodges as a last minute decision to get away to some peace and quiet and peace and quiet was exactly what I experienced. And because it was last minute it was a great deal - I feel very lucky that I found it in time! Though I never met the owners I knew I could contact them at any point if I needed anything and they made no attempt at all to intrude on my solitude, which I greatly appreciated. Next time I want to get away from it all I will be booking here, and likewise if I need a place for a group getaway! The only probelm I had was leaving - could have stayed for months!!

About 6 times in the last 7 years, we have stayed in the self-catering Lodges at Kinnaird or in Garden Cottage: the Lodges are lovely and well-appointed: Garden Cottage (which is cheaper) is much more homely but the atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming that we have taken to staying there more recently. Although not in "woodland" as such (the Lodges are built up the hillside behind the house), there are trees and birds, and (on one side) lovely views across fields and mountains). There are lots of extra touches you don't generally get with self-catering (eg. extra blankets, use of leisure facilities at nearby hotel: some of the Lodges even have washing machines and dish washers!), and the Lodges are spaced so as to give privacy. Owners are available on site in the event of any problems, and are always helpful and friendly. Excellent base for touring Pitlochry and the Trossachs. Plenty of options for meals out nearby (Moulin and Pitlochry). Great scenery. Visit the Pitlochry Theatre during summer/autumn season. Rest and relax.

We had a fantastic break in one of the lodges, thank you.The location was lovely, with amazing views and private decking to watch the sunset. We were lucky enough to have lots of sunshine and sitting on the decking after a day out walking, looking at the view was perfect. We loved the log burning stove too. Great location and we would recommend it to others.

Visiting Ptlochry for a quiet break to recharge the batteries , we booked a last minute break at these woodland logdes. The views from the lodge were wonderful. The accommodation was more Scout Hut than woodland lodge, but cosy nevertheless. The woodburning stove was a real bonus. The hot water system was a mystery - it took several cool showers before we figured it out! The only downside was the fact that we needed to "feed" the meter with £1.00 coins for electricity. We had no idea how much we were using or how many more coins we needed !! Perhaps an average charge could be made for the accommodation and included in the rental to avoid this rather archaic system?

We were glad that the guest enjoyed the wonderful scenery. The remark concerning 'more scout hut' than lodge is extremely unfair, hurtful and unhelpful.
In order to activate hot water the guest needed to switch on the immersion heater (instructions are provided and switch highly visible.) Alternatively a quick phone call to ourselves and we would have been there to help out. To any prospective guests, please note that since this review we have removed the pound coin meters from our properties and electricity is included in the rental.
