Owner description: You don't have to be a budding botanist to really appreciate the beauty of this unique Garden. Not only is it packed with amazing and rare plants, you'll also discover the fantastic stories behind the men who risked death to bring them back. This wonderful attraction is a hidden gem next to the Festival Theatre of Pitlochry. If you can, book for one of the excellent Garden Tours which really bring this wonderful place to life. What a shame that so many visitors to Pitlochry miss this peaceful and colourful oasis.

Idea good, linking Scottish Victorian plant hunters with the plants that they brought back. Unfortunately, the links were not clear with many plants unlabelled and, probably due to the appalling season, the large site was not at its potential.
Run by volunteers, it is a difficult challenge with a limited client base, being an uphill walk from the Theatre car park and then on a hillside site.
