Just back from a four night stay in pitlochry and on three nights we visited the Moulin. Its a lovely old fashioned bar where we were served excellent food at a very reasonable price. The thing that makes the Moulin special though is bar manager Dan who is so professional and friendly that he makes a night in the Moulin special. He has all the knowledge about the Moulins own beers and brews but also manages to create a great ambience in the bar introducing the locals to tourist like ourselves. Thanks Dan for making the nights in the Moulin such fun and making us look forward to our return trip whenever that might be. Food here was also lovely and though I have never had salmon with pigs in blankets before somehow it works!!! Also recommend the mushroom soup absolutely delicious. We were in a self catering property in pitlochry but the atmosphere, food and service at the Moulin meant we ventured out most nights. Thanks for some great evenings.

A favorite stop after a day of climbing,

Great fire, great service.

Thoroughly recommend a beer, shortest brewery tap distance (literally across the road).

A ploughmans will fix you for the drive home. Top class.

A great 2 night stay, fast food service and comfy room. Good bar food and some nice ales for the hubby. A little bit of a walk from the town centre which means its nice and quiet. Would stay here again. Highly recommended.

There are lots of positives about this hotel. The exterior looks inviting with outside seating areas and a well laid out garden to the rear, complete with a little stream and wooden bridge.
The staff were all polite and helpful. And the food was tasty. All dietary needs seemed to be catered for.

However the hotel could do with a dramatic make over. The interior looks very tired and dated. The furnishings lack any form of design, quality or co ordinating theme. The bed was hard and needed a new mattress. And the wallpaper was grubby and peeling.

Not a good advert for visitors to Scotland.
