Very nice hotel, beautiful decor. Not sure of the restaurant, as it was suspiciously empty the night we stayed. As we were much more interested in the pub (which was packed), we ate there and it was well worth it (big thumbs up for the mushroom and leek pie!).

This hotel was built in 1695. It has lots of character!!!good sized rooms and bathrooms..Scottish decor.. winding halls.. a lazy lamb and different door knockers on each door. The food in the pub was delicious- as was their own beer.. no reason not to believe that breakfast will be as delicious as dinner.

We’ve eaten in the pub a few times but thought we’d try the restaurant for a change and a bit of a treat. The menu sounded great. I have to admit to being a little disappointed. Next time we are at the Moulin we will stick to the pub grub.

Stayed here for one night, we had stayed some years ago but the standards in the hotel have really dropped.

Our room was really tired & definitely needed a revamp. The mattress on the bed was ridiculously uncomfortable and felt like it was twenty years old, saggy in the middle you could feel every single spring sticking through. The pillows were horrendous lumpy and just of a very poor quality. The worst nights sleep I’ve had in ages.

Given what we paid I really wish we had stayed somewhere else as Pitlochry has many better places to stay. The only reason I’ve given two stars not one was that the breakfast was really nice.

Had a 3 night stay at this hotel, having been there 10 years previous. The staff were first class, and very helpful, the room we were allocated was the smallest room we have had in over 18 years of going to dog friendly hotels. The room was in need of updating.
The breakfast area is very nice, the bar was as it was 10 years ago.
Our biggest disappointment was the quality of the food along with the price being charged. for example the lentil soup was very watery, mushroom pie was more like a mushroom soup with pastry on top. chips were not very nice, £16 for scampi and chips is criminal. Sorry Moulin Won't be back.

Room tip: Room 14 is small especially if you have a dog. Nice and quiet
