Had 2 nights recently in a double deluxe room, as my daughter & her husband had stayed in similar room recently while passing through & wished they could have stayed longer. I would have liked to have stayed an extra night to go to the theatre as I enjoyed the Inn & the area so much. The room was great, modern, with good toiletries & a dock for your music to enjoy in the big deep bath after a long day shopping at Bruar & a walk up the Falls.Nicki is lovely & saw to a minor problem with TV promptly, with a smile. Enjoyed the band on the Saturday night, food was good but nothing special, service great & breakfast both mornings was really nice, enjoyed the fresh fruit, ate elsewhere on the Sunday night. Would stay here again if in area, there was nothing not to like, & I think if there was it would be sorted if possible.

Room Tip: Deluxe was great, but the other rooms looked lovely also

We stayed at the Old Mill Inn recently, using a voucher and paying a supplement to upgrade to a 'deluxe double' - completely worth it.

Mill Lane, on which the Inn is situated, is paved like a pavement, so do be careful of pedestrians! There's a car park round the back too, so you don't need to worry about finding a space.

It's clear that the Inn is a popular venue in Pitlochry, and it's easy to see why. They have a real log fire, topped up regularly and giving the whole place and lovely smoky smell, and a good sized bar/restaurant area. We ate at the Inn on our first night, and were really pleased, in fact I wish we'd returned on our second night. The mains were delicious, and the bar bites very moreish.

The room itself was beautiful, a good size with a king sized bed and gorgeous interior. And the bathroom was superb. The bath was very deep, and there was a double shower - more of a wetroom really. Plus, heated floors! Which was very welcome in freezing temperatures!

Our only quibble would be the breakfast. There is a buffet with fruits, yoghurts, cereal etc, and a menu with a full Scottish, porridge etc too. On the first morning I had Eggs Benedict, but was left disappointed. The hollandaise had clearly been made much earlier and was being kept warm, and it was far too sharp and acidic tasting. On the second morning I had the full Scottish, this was fine but bizarrely no baked beans so a little dry.

Overall though, I'd highly recommend the Old Mill Inn for a weekend away. But don't go in November like us, hardly any tourist attractions are open!

Room Tip: If you can afford to, upgrade to a deluxe double. But if you don't like noise, shut the window a...

The hotel is situated just off the Main Street, don't blink you will miss the turn off, as I did. The hotel is both modern and comfortable with very attentive staff. Relax in the bar, or have a meal in the restaurant you won't be disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and well proportioned and the furnishings were of a high standard. The old style exterior of the building, hides the fact that the rooms are all modern, and a necessity for the scottish winter warm and cosy!
Breakfast was also excellent, having stayed in several hotels on business, i would rate this hotel as one of the best with an excellent buffet spread, and cooked menu.
I would highly recommend the hotel

Room Tip: If they are all the standard of room 8 you will be happy

Returned for a second visit to the Old Mill Inn and once again had a lovely break. Stayed in a deluxe room for one night. Room was excellent and furnished to a high standard – bed was very comfortable. Beautiful fittings in the large bathroom, which included a deep bath. Loved the Highland Soap toiletries.

We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night and it is obviously popular as it was very busy. Meal was excellent and the service first class. The staff in the hotel are young, eager to assist and can’t do enough for you. Same great service at breakfast. Food and wine prices were reasonable.

After our meal, we retired to the bar area and were entertained from 9.00 pm by a tribute band– absolutely great.

This hotel is in a great location – right in the middle of the Main Street, but set far enough back not to be troubled by noise – some room’s overlook the bar but we were to the rear of this area so didn’t hear anything.

We have booked to return next year for another stay as this hotel ticks all the boxes for us. Can’t think of anything negative to say.

Room Tip: Room 5 is fab.

Four of us stayed here just last week. Two nights B&B for £55 per couple per night, thanks to 5 p.m.com., and we paid an extra £60 to upgrade to a deluxe room. What a bargain was that. I do not know what their standard rooms were like, but the ones we had were just about the best rooms we have stayed in, in Scotland. The bed was huge, but was dwarfed by the size of the room. The sofa was comfortable, and there was a huge big chair I could have slept in. The bath was the deepest I have ever seen, and the walk in shower was brilliant. There was a supply of toiletries, beautiful towels, etc., and of course totally spotless. The staff were very professional, yet friendly, and extremely helpful, going out of their way to show kindness. The food was great, our only criticism being the size of the portion of duck. My husband could have "put it on a piece". The breakfasts were tasty, well cooked, prepared to order, and used quality local produce. We all agreed we would return, and would certainly book in there. We have stayed in four other hotels in Pitochry, and this one was the most comfortable. I have been very ill recently and have mobility problems, so getting to our room would have been a problem, because of all the stairs, (about 20) but we could park the car right outside the door of our room (up the hill) and drive down to the front door. This was a steep wee hill, about 25 metres, but that is a lot when you don't walk too well.

Room Tip: we had room one. See if you can get this room if you are booking.

The annual pressure of booking a memorable break for my other halves birthday this year took us to the picturesque village of Pitlochry and the wonderful Old Mill Inn. Situated just off the Main Street it's location is perfect for venturing around the village and seeing its many beautiful sites.
The hotel itself is beautiful inside, with a very warm and open reception/bar area. Dinner and breakfast were first class and the deluxe room we booked was stunning and spacious to say the least. The staff were very hospitable and helpful from the word go and couldn't do enough to help when required.
Overall the hotel is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area and we will definitely return in the future.....and yes, the other half was delighted.
