We chose Craigatin through the reviews on the Tripadvisor web site and were not disappointed. The warm welcome, the cleanliness, the comfortable rooms, the incredible breakfast and the helpful management were not exaggerated and we can only add our names to the list of enthusiastic visitors. If only there were more B&B's of this standard!

This is the perfect place to be, no doubt about it. Great hosts, great rooms and a perfect breakfast. I had my first ever porridge here and I got hooked straight away. The staff is very helpful and friendly as are the owners. There really is nothing on the downside.
If you are near Pitlochry and you have not booked, start praying that Craigatin House can accommodate you because if they are fully booked you really missed out. We´ll be back for sure!!

We loved our one night stay at Craigatin. The entire place is lovely --
contemporary in design within the rich character of the original building and courtyard. Andrea and Martin are delightful hosts; more than that, they very graciously expedited the return of my computer power cord to me in Edinburgh after I'd forgotten it in our room. Thanks so much to you both for a lovely visit, and we will be back!

On arrival we were given a great welcome and shown around the house , advice was given on where to eat that night and luckily for us glad to accept the complimentary tix for Theatre that evening
We had only been able to book for one night and had the use of room 14 which overlooked the courtyard having its own seperate entrance by outside staircase added to the feeling of privacy being detached and private from the main house
The room itself was very well equiped and decorated and the sloping ceiling in bathroom added to the character of room .

The supply of corkscrew and wine glasses much appreciated

Beakfast was very special with not just the usual standard fayre but a contemporary and interesting selection from apple pancakes to smoked haddock omelettes ,Breakfast was available in the conservatory and we enjoyed looking out to the well kept gardens as the sun streamed in . Staff were very attentive and pleasant .

Highly recommended nothing was any trouble we hope to return

First let me start by giving you some background information on why we wanted to stay here for the weekend. Our friends were getting married in the nearby Atholl Palace and the bridal party was staying at the Craigatin House the night before. My wife was doing all the bridal makeup on the day and therefore it would have been a great help if we also stayed at the Craigatin House. However, when checking availability on their website none was found for the two nights of interest but it advised to phone to check. Normally, I wouldn’t have bothered and would have tried elsewhere, but given the situation with the bridal makeup I thought it would do no harm to give them a phone and see if there was anything they could do. Upon phoning, I spoke to one of the owners Andrea, who was very helpful and polite. She managed to accommodate us for the two nights with a change of rooms for the second nights stay. This in itself was not a problem, as they allowed us to stay in our original room until the new room on the Saturday was ready. Which they made sure they done first allowing us minimal fuss at change overtime.

The rooms themselves were excellent. Our first night we stayed in room four, which was very spacious with a lovely view of the mountains. The second night was a standard double room (number 7), which was equally as nice. It was not much smaller than room 4 (in fact I think te shower was bigger in this room!) and certainly offered ample room for the two of us, plus the gardens are beautiful which could be viewed from this room.

The breakfast on offer was excellent and to a very high standard….. who doesn’t love a tradition fry-up breakfast! Oh and the fried egg…. Brilliant! Don’t think the cooking of the egg could have been any better, perfection!

Both owners Andrea & Andrew, and the onsite staff were all very polite and helpful. Gave us great advice on places to eat within the local town.

It was a very pleasant and stress free weekend away! Would definitely go back again.
