“what a gem!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

after spending 2 nights at the Hilton, Dunkeld and weather good we decided to stay in area and through default booked a nights stay in the Northlands. This was the best B&B we have stayed in and the hosts Pauline and David made us so welcome and with their fine detail to ensure you have a great experiance during your stay. We telephoned them to confirm the booking early Sat morning and requested if they had a room ready as we wished to watch the Lions hammer the Aussies and they must have worked like trojans as within half an hour we arrived and was shown to our room. With detail like a complimentary drop of 'Bells' and millionaires shortbread the room had everything you need for your stay.
The views over Pitlochry were stunning and there is a wooden area where you can enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun go down in welll attended garden. The house is only a short walk down to the centre and we left our car in the ample car park at the B&B.
Pauline gave us tips about where to eat and that restaraunts tended to fill up quickly and close fairly early and even informed us where we could get a glass of wine complimentary on her recommendation!
After a sound sleep in a very comfortable bed we then experienced a culinary delight in a 'grand' room and will go down as one of the best breakfast spreads we have enjoyed.
As the previous reviewer commented this was a wonderful experience and we will be back although as word spreads we may have to book well in advance.
Many thanks Pauline and David for your hospitality

Room Tip: any as you will not be disapointed

Can I just say this is a fantastic and welcoming place to stay. Pauline and David went out their way to make our stay a pleasure and every need was covered. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a clean and homely B&B with lots of extras.

If you are looking for a place to stay where "going the extra mile" to ensure your comfort is the key then this is the place. David & Pauline have really thought about the needs of their guests, the attention to detail was second to none. The house is stunning - as is the location, the breakfast was beautifully served, cooked and presented, with an astounding variety of handmade and local produce. We will DEFINITELY be returning.

Room Tip: Any room will be great.

Oh well we could'nt keep quiet about the best B&B we've ever stayed in could we. A huge thank you to Pauline ,our host ,who welcomed us into her lovely, exquistely decorated and incredibly clean home.
Our bed was so comfortable we could have stayed until Christmas! The wonderful breakfast so beautifully cooked and presented lasted us until mid afternoon. I have to eat a gluten free diet and Pauline was so incredibly thoughtful I've never had such a lovely choice at breakfast times whist we've been away anywhere!
We certainly can't wait to go back and be spoilt all over again.

Room Tip: They are all fantastic!

Pauline is a very warm and open hostes. She thinks about all the details. She can tell you everything about the area, Scotlands history, nice places to see, good restaurants.
The BB itself is very new, clean and well maintained. She has a good taste for the whole facility and the breakfast.
Northlands BB is on the hill of Pitlochry so you'll have a nice view and still leave your car at the Northlands BB parking to walk to the centre of the village because it is very central.

Thank you Pauline!

Pauline spoiled us for the rest of our trip. No other b&b quite matched her beautiful home and hospitality, starting with a delicious tea, beautifully appointed and very comfortable rooms and a typical Scottish breakfast. Every detail was just perfect. Will definitely return!

We had a wonderful, extremely comfortable and relaxing stay at Northlands, thanks to great hosts Pauline and David. Great location, with lovely views and peace & quiet, a beautiful garden and birdsong, but only a couple of minutes' walk from everything. Pauline welcomed us with a delicious afternoon tea and the breakfasts were superb - what a choice! No wonder all the guests have smiles on their faces at the breakfast table. Food is sourced from local producers and is very high quality. Really comfortable beds and great showers. The attention to detail is fabulous, and the owners have amazing local knowledge which they take time to share with you about what to see and do in the area, and about its history and heritage. We've already booked our return visit - it is that kind of place. Our stay here really made our weekend away.

Room Tip: All rooms are on the first floor and very quiet and peaceful. Room 1 has windows to the front garden...
