Very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Drab, cramped bedroom. Stains on the decorative runners and cushions on the beds. Breakfast was buffet style but all the food was lukewarm. I had to ask for an egg as the trays were empty. The public areas were dark giving the impression they were in need of updating. No enticement to relax with a drink. On the positive side the staff were all very pleasant and friendly.

Been visiting for 30years have seen big changes. Recent fire has seen more upgrading. Dinner was excellent with plenty of choice. 2nd night ate from the excellent bar menu. Only let down buffet breakfast was cold and orange juice tasteless. I know they cater for bus parties who eat earlier but the late diners need food warmer. Apart from that we I'll return.

We stayed Friday-Sunday on our annual theatre trip - year 28 at Fisher's. Another great stay with nothing to complain about. Room was perfect, the breakfast great and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We didn't eat dinner, but did have coffees with some friends in the lounge, and that was handled well. A bonus for us is the central location, and being able to park in the car park.

A special mention to some of the staff who on the Saturday helped out an elderly couple when the gentleman was rushed to Perth Royal Infirmary, and the severely disabled lady had to remain in the hotel until her daughter made an emergency dash from Inverness. We had been involved with caring for them for 2 1/2 hours and the hotel took over checking the lady was okay thereafter, when we had to leave to go to our theatre show.

Stayed here from 7th until 11th June. Staff all very helpful & courteous. Food very good both breakfast and dinner. Lovely gardens and the adjoining Coach House offers good entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights as well as nice food. Our room was on the top floor and looked onto the garden. It was ok but the bathroom floor had a broken tile & could have been a problem if not watched. My only real complaint was that the room was not cleaned or serviced once in the four days. Rubbish was not collected, bed not made & carpet not hovered. This may have been down to staff not being able to cope due to the large amount of day trippers arriving regularly by bus. All in all with a little more attention to longer stay customer rather than day trippers wouldn’t go amiss. Altogether a pleasant time was spent here.

Beautifully decorated bedroom, spotlessly clean. Could not fault dinner, good choice of menu. Nice company of likeminded people. Very busy with two coach parties but staff appeared to cope very well with all comings and goings

Room tip: Very central in Pitlochry
