Wonderful course, Gleneagles in miniature. Very reasonably priced with excellent staff in the pro shop. Now in my top three favourite courses.

My friend and I played on their Wednesday deal for £12, the course and greens were in excellent condition and I was able to hire an electric buggy. We met our wife's after the game and enjoyed a late lunch sitting out on the terrace, in the sun and looking over the 18th green. The food and service was great and an Excellent day out in general.

Excellent food at reasonable prices with great views. Close to Pitlochry centre. Went by car because of steep uphill walk.

Pitlochry golf club is a fantastically friendly and enjoyable place to play a round of golf but to have stayed on site for a week right bang in the middle of a heat wave just elevates the experience beyond your wildest dreams. Our family of five enjoyed our second stay in Drumchorry Cottage which sits by the side of the second fairway just a chip and run from the second green and affords wonderous views down the Tummel valley towards picturesque clubhouse and the countryside beyond.

With four golfers in the party this really was a perfect place to stay, unlimited golf for all of us for £200 for the week, fantastic value and afforded us the opportunity to play just a few holes in the morning or around our other activities or to take in a full round. We averaged 27 holes a day starting as early as six am and finishing as late as 10:30 pm.

The golf course is a gem, yes it is hilly to start with, the first certainly gets the blood pumping as you climb upto the green, take a while to get your breath and enjoy the view. The second is a little less of an effort and the third, well a gentle slope really. From there on in it is a stroll in the park, not flat but no climbs of any nature to cause any concerns. The views all round are just fabulous. It may not be the longest of courses but do not be fooled, you should plot your way around and limit the use of the big stick and aim to place your ball in the right place to give yourself access to the pins. Try to avoid approaches over bunkers as many of the greens have severe drop offs and catch the slopes and you will see your ball disappear. The greens were in great condition, you could get a good roll but they are not fast but very true. Not a par 5 in sight, until the planned re routed second comes to fruition, three excellent par 3's and par 4's that can be reached with a drive, well a few but don't be fooled, placement is the key to good scoring. This really is a gem of a course with outstanding views at every turn.

The clubhouse is befitting of the location, a very pretty standout building with its shiny red roof that looks old and antiquated, but inside it is a modern, clean and airy environment that has a warm and welcoming atmosphere generated by the friendly staff who could not be more approachable. The food is very good indeed, a great place to enjoy your after round drinks or a meal with your family, indeed the clubhouse is very well supported by golfers and visitors alike and always seemed to have a steady business on going.

The pro shop carries a good range of clothing and equipment and the staff led by Mark Pirie are very friendly and always available for a chat.

This is the second time we have stayed at the course and I first visited back in 1989 and have returned most years since, the improvement to the course is significant and it is now in fabulous condition, the course will always suffer from the elements bearing in mind it's location but it is now cared for, as it should be. Infact everything about the venue is first class and oozes professionalism and friendliness and is a model for how clubs should be run in the present climate. The team at Pitlochry from green staff, professionals and all who work in the clubhouse should be congratulated on what they have achieved and the service they provide andthe members who are so friendly you feel amongst friends should be very proud of their home club.

My two lovely friends and I were dropping our children off at Faskally House (for a week full of fun and activity with the Tayside Christian Youth Camp) and didn't want to drive all the way home to Ayrshire knowing we would miss the Wimbledon mens final. We decided to take a detour via the Golf Club for something to eat in the hope that the television would be on and we could watch what remained of the tennis. We were welcomed in just as the final game was taking place. Much excitement as Andy battled through several Championship points to win the trophy. We were whooping with delight as our drinks were served. We then went on to enjoy the carvery - delicious food all round, especially cheesey cabbage delight. After a short rest we then opted for the "rude not to" puddings. Being awkward customers, we asked for several variations of the pudding menu, all of which were accommodated by the fantastic staff. They even went as far as to bring a small sample of the "yellow" ice cream out for my (dis)approval. I only like white ice cream so opted for custard with my amazing crumble instead.
Thank you one and all for a great experience - we will definitely be back (and remember you promised me white ice cream on my return.) Food amazing, staff amazing, setting amazing, value amazing, tennis amazing. Loved it. Please visit.

Thank Fiona K
