This lovely flat was within easy walking distance of all Pitlochry had to offer. We were there mainly to visit the Enchanted Forest, but found plenty to see and do in the area.
The flat was very clean and comfortable, providing everything you would need. Jennifer made us feel very welcome. We would definitely book again if returning to Pitlochry in future.
We love coming to the Elmwood. It has everything you need for a relaxing break - comfortable, well equipped flat in great location and Jennifer is extremely helpful and welcoming. Have been 3 times now and will return.
Walking distance to the village and key attractions, and well located for easy drives to more. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and the home itself is well set up. It is located in a quiet street with views to the hills and a nice outside area to sit and relax.
We thought that we had missed out on our week away, due to other commitments. However when I found out that we were free to go to Pitlochry I got in touch with Jennifer at
" Elmwood " to see if the apartment was free on the dates we wanted and were very lucky to find out that they were. We have been a couple of times before but this would be different as we had managed to get the apartment which we had not been in before. Both apartments have stunning views over the town towards the mountains and are very close to the town centre where there plenty of places to dine. We booked into the theatre to see a great version of Carousel and there are plenty of places to visit within a 10 mile radius. As usual time seems to fly by when you are on holiday, especially when you are in this special area.

We spent a week at Elmwood in mid-September, 2016. Jennifer was very helpful, picking us up at the train station and showing us the best places to shop & eat and the easiest paths to get around the village. The apartment was clean & cozy and had a splendid sunset view over the village. The house is far enough from the main through-road to be quiet and close enough for easy walking. Pitlochry is a little gem, full of friendly people, boasting a world-class theater, and a center for hiking & biking trails throughout the surrounding Highlands, We concluded we could happily live there!

After four weeks of living in one room in hotels and in B and Bs, it was wonderful to have a separate lounge/dining/kitchen area, as well as a separate bedroom and bathroom and small entry hall. The kitchen was well-equipped, including such things as plastic wrap and lidded containers for picnic food. This was the first time we’d been asked to feed the electricity meter, but in one week, we barely used £2 worth, and that included using the washing machine.
Elmwood is well-located, being within walking distance of the main street and all that it has to offer. It's a longer walk to the Festival Theatre across the river, but a very pleasant one on a fine day.
What set this accommodation apart was the wonderful, warm welcome from Jennifer, who greeted us like old friends and instantly made us feel at home.
If we had the opportunity to revisit Pitlochry, we'd certainly stay at Elmwood again.
Well appointed apartment in quiet location just a few minutes work from eateries and railway station. Plenty of off road parking. Ideal for visiting Perthshire's lochs, forests and tourist attractions. Lovely hosts. Would stay again.
