We stayed here for 9 nights and felt like home from the very first moment. A very warm welcome was followed by a tour through the house where we could choose from two rooms.
Food, be it breakfast or dinner was delicious. Service was outstanding so hard to find anything that can still be improved.
Pitlochry as a village is also very nice, has lots of laces to go to for dinner or drinks. Also lots of sights are around or can be reached by car.
Its just been fantastic here!

We booked at the last minute on the basis of the trip advisor reviews after having seen some truly dire hotels in the east of Scotland. It shows the strengths of trip advisor as it was a gem of a find.
Small with only ?9 bedrooms but had no feel of a b and b - more boutique hotel - spotlessly clean with modern decor but still having a country house feel. Beautiful views across the hills and the town with large settees and real fires it was cosy and luxurious. Really great friendly staff - but the real plus here was the food. Highs class restaurant food - unusual menu beautifully prepared and presented. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: They all look good!

Just back from a lovely weekend at the Knockendarroch. A beautifully situated and appointed country house hotel (despite the horrors of a COUNCIL ESTATE nearby - good grief they'll be letting the natives out next!!) - (see Delightedkent)
The hotel was beautifully furnished with lovely touches of tweed, and the food was an absolute joy. Could not have done better in a top restaurant - beautifully cooked and presented. Well done to the chef. The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was the slightest bother. An added bonus was the possibility of early dinner and complimentary transport to the theatre.
Hope to return soon.

We first stayed here in early July and only because we could not get into Killicrankie House, who recommended Knockendarroch as an alternative. What luck! Thought we'd try it again on our next visit( we are house hunting) and Liz fitted us in at short notice. Just as good as before and service ,room and food are exemplary. Understand the earlier comment about its position but the house was there long before the council estate which is perfectly tidy but the houses are drab, that's all. As you will probably spend most of your time looking at the mountains this is not an issue!

This is one of the really best hidden hotels I have been to ! Only 13 rooms so make sure you book before you drop in. Liz the owner has done a great job with this old mansion. The rooms are delightful. And the service & friendliness is 5 star. It´s a pity there´s no lift but you just have to learn to take only what you need for a couple of nights. If not they´ll carry your luggage up to the rooms.
The view from the bedroom or lounge is typically Scottish hillside and stunning.
What ever you do, take dinner there. At 25 pounds a person for 3 courses from a chef that should really be in a Michelin restaurant is bargain not to be missed.

Room Tip: Second floor a the front with a view.

I have stayed in pitlochry many times, but never in the same place twice. This place, however will now be the place that I will always stay. It was clean, the staff were fantastic. They certainly understand all about hospitality!
Our room was large, comfortable and the bathroom was clean.
We had booked the dinner, bed and breakfast package. I cannot recommend this choice highly enough. The food was excellent, the service outstanding. The dining room was delightful, with great attention to detail, from crockery and cutlery to the right amount of tables, so you never felt packed in like sardines.
I I'm shall be back and would highly recommend it
Well done to ALL staff :)

Room Tip: Superior super king room
