We live in Glasgow and try to visit Pitlochry and its theatre at least once a year. The journey is beautiful, the accommodation excellent and we love the elegance of the theatre. All the productions we have seen were worth the trip.

The Pitlochry Theatre is a wonderful place to visit for a play or simply for lunch or a cuppa.
No dislikes everything was fab.

We went to see "White Christmas", and honestly I doubt you'd see a better musical in London's West End.

We first came here in 1968, when the Theatre was housed in a most magnificent tent, with all the usual cafes and bars. We brought a few boys from the nearby (Rannoch) school and introduced ourselves to the technicians and actors. We watched a matinee of a Harold Pinter play and almost had hysterics with laughing. The lighting men came to the school and showed us how we could create various atmospherics just by changing the lighting. Four actors came and delivered a lecture on how to join "The Stage" (dispelling many illusions!).
Since 1968 the Theatre has moved into its own proper building (with adequate parking!) and we have enjoyed many productions. We laughed so much at "Arsenic and Old Lace" that we went again this year (2012) with just the same result. In the summer you can book into an hotel (strongly recommended: The Green Park) for 3 nights and see 4 plays (with a discount!).
Ask for their brochure (Theatre AND Hotel) and I promise you will come back in 2014!
