Tigh Geal is a lovely home, and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and Pamela provided us a very nice welcome basket. The living room furniture is comfortable and so are the beds. As great as the house is, the location is even better. It is about a two minute walk into downtown Pitlochry, but the house is off of the main road, so it is very quiet. Pamela provided great tourist information, which I greatly appreciated. I would certainly stay there again.
We had such a lovely time staying in this fantastic property over the weekend of the Etape Caledonia, it really did feel like a home from home. Situated in a great location with a big garden the house was high spec, clean and Pamela had even left books and jigsaw puzzles out for the kids. Brilliant welcome basket (which got raided after we had finished the Etape). Pamela was great at communicating, providing tips on places to eat, visit etc.....and most importantly made space (in the soon to be games room) for us to securely store our bikes. Have already recommend to friends and coworkers.
We had such a great time staying in this beautiful cottage. It is so well maintained & Pamela has furnished it to feel like a real home from home. Everything we needed was there (even the sun shone!) from loo roll to cling film to comfy beds! The birthday card & prosecco was a lovely touch & greatly appreciated. We cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from Pamela & would love to return again in the future.
We stayed as a family of 8 in this fantastic, clean & well presented property, the owner was very helpful, the accommodation exceptional, a top holiday let, highly recommended
Our weekend billet in picturesque Pitlochry for our reunion gathering of ex-flatmates from thirty-nine years ago couldn’t have been better. The recently renovated interior of Pamela Gillanders four-bedroomed “Tigh Geal” (complete with complimentary food and drink) meant our company of eight had a fresh, clean, cosy yet generous lounge and kitchen to socialise in, (complete with welcome log fire and range to warm us after our snowy strolls), and comfortable bedrooms to retire to in golden slumbers imbued with libation-enhanced reminiscences (in our Trump-free “White House”).
The multi-levelled garden was also very attractive, even when partially snow-covered (although not the ideal place for someone recovering from a hip operation to move quickly for a camera timer we discovered!)
Just a short stroll to all of Pitlochry’s amenities, a perfect base for exploring Perthshire and beyond, it is a real home from home (that is, it would be if my home had another bedroom!!) Highly Recommended.
(Oh, and on top of the excellent accommodation and relaxed check-in/out, Pamela was kind enough to post a garment left by mistake back home to Ireland – much appreciated marvellous hosting!)
We were surprised by six of our Scottish friends with a weekend away in Pitlochry. The house was perfect for the eight of us, the house was immaculate with every need catered for. The kitchen though full when we were all in there together was just big enough. It was warm and comfortable and the location was so central it was easy to explore Pitlochry.
I forgot my jacket when we left and Pamela went out of her way to post it free of cost to me in Ireland (thanks Pamela!). I would highly recommend her house, the time spent there will go in my best memories!
Tigh Geal was very central and convenient for the Main Street, shops and restaurants. Despite being freezing cold outside it was very cosy. Very clean and lovely fresh interior. Very welcome tray with coffee, biscuits, fudge and lots of other goodies. Pamela left us a bottle of bubbly and a plant as it was our wedding anniversary. We felt so welcome and would recommend this house to anyone. Many Thanks
