We ate here on a recent Saturday night and certainly were not disappointed by the quality of the food. Very nice ambiance in the restaurant and waiting staff were very efficient and pleasant. We were late in arriving for our booking having been held up at a previous function but weren't too impressed by the greeting, being told 'you'll have to go right to your table as the chef's about to finish'. This was about 9.20 on a Saturday night and we couldn't help noticing that they took another two couples after us. Food was fab though. Menu was small but the choice was excellent. Satay style halibut was to die for. Hubby's assiette of rhubarb was a work of art. Would definitely go back next time we are in the Fair City.

We booked at this restaurant for a birthday celebration. We arrived early and said that we would have adrink and check the menu. We were shown to the waiting area and we waited and waited. After ten minutes of nobody approaching us. I managed to attract someones attention and ordered drinks and asked for the menus. After another ten minutes I asked again for these again. Eventually they arrived. We were eventually shown to our table, ten minutes after our appointed time, although the table had been unoccupied since we arrived. The food arrived and it was excellent. We both had scallops as starters and steak as main courses. Both courses were cooked to perfrction and tasted wonderfull. Main meal over, we were asked if we would like to see the desert menu. Yes. Fifteen minutes later we were asked if we had received the menu. No. Fifteen miutes later we were asked if we had recived the menu. No, don't bother, we would just have coffees an a liqueur each. Fifteen minutes later I had to approach the management to enquire as to the location of our coffees and liqueurs. It transpires that someone had been making liqueur coffees instead of separates. This did not explain the time taken. Our order arrived and as an appology we were offered the mistakenly made coffee liqueurs for free, as the were just going to throw them anyway. Very gracious and kindhearted. It is a shame that the front of house so let down the excellent efforts of the kitchen staff.

we had booked a table for 8pm and arrived 10 minutes early. We were shown to a crowded seating/holding area where we sat for about 20 minutes before being handed menus and our drinks order being finally taken. We sat for another 20 minutes before our food order was taken and finally got our table beside the toilets an hour after our arrival. Nobody had apologised or even acknowledged that there was any delay at all until the very end when we were paying our bill, having decided to forego dessert in case there was another long wait. We were not alone as many people were waiting an equal length of time. A wee apology upon our arrival, the offer of a complimentary drink and some nibbles on the tables might have eased the situation. The food was tasty but not exactly filling and to sum up we would never return nor recommend this restaurant.

The food here is fantastic. I had scallops followed by venison and both were cooked to perfection. A real gem in the city. The staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. I was holding a business dinner and it was the ideal choice. It was a Tuesday night and quite quiet so there wasn't a great deal of atmosphere but it was perfect for the occasion. I would recommend the food here.
