We fancied a weekend break and found this working farm, loving animals we thought it would be perfect.
Easy to find with a satnav, but without wouldn't be a problem.
The welcome we got was lovely plus a nice cup of tea and home baked cakes.
Had a lovely long chat with Jean and Andy whilst looking at the birds in the garden and could have spent all day in the kitchen.
After settling in to the en suite room we had a wee 2 hour snooze and then headed out to Perth which is about 10 minutes by car.
Jean had made a great guide and they are full of useful local knowledge.
We decided to go to the fabulous Toby Carvery for tea. £5.99 for a lovely meal and some excellent pudding choices afterwards.
Might be worth booking as it's popular. We waited twenty minutes for a seat which was fine.
The Farm is a working sheep farm with hens too so expect nice fresh eggs with your cooked breakfast. We were about two hours at the table, again chatting and watching the birds and meeting family. All so welcoming and warm, more so than any B&B I've been to.
After a random drive around the beautiful local countryside on day two, the ultimate treat was a walk out on the Farm with the Sheepdog pups and Hannah the daughter who works there too. She was happy to answer all our doggy related questions. We were covered in muddy doggy paw prints and in heaven.
We'll be back!
Take wellies and if you have a pet hair allergy don't go ;-)
One of the best B&B 's I've been to for pure welcoming and experience.
Just remember it's a working farm, not a hotel.
