“Visit for Rewind Festival”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for Rewind Festival 2014.

It is a bit out of town but ideal if you want a quiet place and willing to drive or get taxis to Scone Palace approx £13. Be warned public transport is poor for late night travel.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff which was a pleasant surprise given some previous reviews.

Breakfast although not huge was nice and staff more than willing to get you something if you asked.

Our only dissapointment was when we asked for some ice for our room. It took approximately 90 mins to arrive. I do appreciate a wedding was on in the hotel but expected better service than a 90 min wait. Honestly I would have been quicker driving to the local Tesco only about 5-10 mins away and buying the ice myself.

Other than this we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

I stayed here in May as part of a group on a classic car tour. The room I was given, as I was on my own, was small ,dark and right by the extractor fan for the kitchen which was very noisy.I asked if I could move but hotel was full.I was told that the fan was turned off between 10pm and 8 am.The next day I was told I could move if I wished but decided to stay put as at night it was peaceful.
The food here is very good and I can heartily recommend it,the service in the bar before dinner was not good as not enough staff were on to serve 50 thirsty people and take wine orders.
The location is good but the common areas could do with lightening up as they are dark.

Stayed for 2 nights with my boyfriend hoping for a relaxing break from a road trip. Disappointed overall.
Upon arrival the entrance and corridors were extremely dark and the floor boards creaked wherever you went.
The room was of a generous size and clean. Net curtains would be advisable though for rooms on the ground floor!!
After an awful nights sleep due to noisy guests and floor board squeaking we went to breakfast expecting to have a continental only at £6,50pp as quoted by the receptionist. We wee informed it was a flat fee of £10pp regardless. So, as we had already begun eating we had to have cooked items to make it worth it.
Overall disappointed in this hotel. Wouldn't stay again.

Please avoid room 203 at back of hotel small and in need of refurbishment. We did ask to be moved after seeing other rooms but were told at reception there was no rooms available. Very disappointing really! The food however is lovely and we stayed for dinner both nights. The staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Our flight was delayed so my girlfriend and I arrived close to midnight.
The nightporter was serviceminded upon our arrival and when we asked if the kitchen was still open, the answer was no.
But our Kind porter fixed it anyway and brought the meal to our room.
Great service!
We only spent one night at this hotel, but we'll be back.
The hotel has a great garden area and is situated idyllic.
Breakfast was good, both warm and cold food served.
We will come back,

Room Tip: all room are good and the hotel has lodges in the grounds. ideal for family with children.
