Owner description: Fergusson Gallery celebrates the life and work of the great pioneers of modern art and dance, John Duncan Fergusson and Margaret Morris. J D Fergusson is now best known as one of the celebrated Scottish Colourist painters, while Margaret Morris is recognised for her pioneering work in modern dance. She was also an inspired choreographer, artist, movement therapist and author. Housed under the one roof at The Fergusson Gallery, their collections tell a fascinating story. “The Fergusson Gallery is a fascinating discovery for art lovers.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2012

In a 19th century round water tower, this gallery has a magnificent collection of the Scottish colourist, Fergusson. It also houses a collection of the work of his partner, Meg Morrison, and a history of dance in the early 20th century.

The exhibitions are beautifully curated and are a must for any student of 20th century art.
Fergusson's development as an artist is particularly interesting. I loved his Provencal works as we had just come from an art tour on the Cote d'Azure. His work ranks very well alongside world-renowned French artists.
Perth is so lucky to have this gem.
