“Idyllic, panoramic views and perfect for children”
Reviewed May 3, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Clean, well equipped and comfortable cottage. We have stayed in The Stables for short breaks and it has been perfect for our family of four.
There is a secure garden, which provides a great outdoor space for children to play in. The cottage is well positioned for long or short walks in the countryside as well as amenities in Perth and other local attractions. Carol and Jim make you feel at home right from the start with a warm welcome and home baked goodies. They are happy to include you in farm life and equally give you space to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Our two children aged 6 and 7 loved helping with the chickens and playing with Tigger the dog.
The uninterrupted views made for spectacular sunsets and for avid star gazers the location is ideal on a clear night.
Unfortunately the broadband connection is very slow (through no fault of the owners who have tried their best to get it upgraded), we found it easier to use 4G which we had good signal for.
We have stayed at Horselea twice now, it is definitely somewhere we will look to return to again and would highly recommend as a great getaway for families.

Thank you, we have done our best to get an improved broadband but it is a problem in rural Scotland. 4G is our saviour.

“Delightful”
Reviewed April 12, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

we have stayed here 3 times now and every visit just gets better.
On arrival we were greeted by the lovely hosts Carol and Jim. When shown to the house we were given some of the most delicious home baked cookies by Carol and some fresh eggs from the chicken coup what a nice touch, our children were invited to pick some eggs on our stay which they love doing. Carol also allowed the children to walk the dog Tiger who is adorable on the sourounding picturesque grounds. While on our stay we were invited to go to Carol and Jims friends farm to see lambing season and calf season, the kids had so much fun feeding the newborns and getting cuddles, this was a highlight of our stay and thought it was so kind to be invited not only for experience but for the memories which we shall never forget.
The accommodation is to a very high standard, very tastefully decorated and has everything you need with all mod cons.
Each house has a barbaque seats and chairs to enjoy in the summer, there is a very large area for the kids to play and scenery that will take your breath away.
I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
We are also returning for a 4th visit on July and can't wait.

“Fantastic holiday cottage”
Reviewed August 28, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We really enjoyed our stay in this immaculately clean, spacious and light cottage. Carol was very helpful and ensured everything we needed was catered for.

We had a car so location was perfect for us - beautiful countryside with great views but very close to Perth at the same time. The location of the cottage made it convenient for trips to Stirling, Loch Lomond, Scone Palace, Glenshee and Crannog centre - all of which were great.
Would love to come back there again.

have just got back from a really nice stay at the stables, close to perth and very central for the other scottish cities. the stables itself was very well equipped with nothing left for us to go out and get. had everything from bbqs to picnic and tupperware containers!! had bread, milk and basic things to see us through there and home made shortbread and fresh flowers there for our arrival. the rooms are all very spacious and we couldnt fault it at all . had rest of family joinging us as the week went along and there was plenty of room for all of us and is situated within plenty of walks and the views from the windows are stunning. highly reccommend it
