If you're planning a visit to Perth and are looking for somewhere nice to eat that won't put a dent in your finances - this restaurant is well worth a visit.
We'd been out for the afternoon enjoying the glorious weather and were looking forward to a meal. We'd eaten here before and it was good so decided to eat here again. For some reason it seemed even better. We ate al fresco at it made for a splendid evening.
There was a set menu option - three courses for £18.95. I did query this with the waitress. Apart from one of the starter options which wasn't included in this (not clearly indicated on the menu) this was indeed the case! Worth checking before ordering.
For starters we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and smoked salmon, relish and salad. The mushrooms went down a treat and I really enjoyed the salmon salad. My only criticism was that the salmon portion was a bit small. Otherwise a thumbs up for both!
For the main course we ordered the vegetarian curry and the lamb with mustard mashed potato and cabbage. My girlfriend enjoyed her meal - tasty and nicely spiced. And I was really impressed with my choice. Delicious!
From the sweet menu we ordered the cheesecake and the toffee pudding with ice cream. Again both did not disappoint. Lovely!
All three courses were very well presented and for what we paid it was exceptionally good value. The drinks were fairly pricey but I think it's the case nowadays wherever you go. The waitresses were friendly and helpful and the service was good.
The restaurant offers a pre theatre menu and next time we're booked to see an event at the concert hall we would certainly come again.
A lovely meal.
