Just back from an overnight stay. Pleasant staff but this doesn't make up for the delapidated state of the hotel. Mouldy bathroom, bad smelling bedroom. leisure facilities out of use also. Handy for the town centre though. Needs a complete refurbishment and big investment

We recently had a large convention with 168 people attending for three days during that time the staff, food and service were excellent from the moment that we arrived they could not do enough for us and made our weekend very enjoyable. When we return to perth we will look no further than the queens. Not one of or delegates had any reason to complain about the hotel. Well done to all staff concerned.

If only I had read the review entitled "avoid this place like the plague" perhaps I would have avoided a being woken in the middle of the night with insects crawling on me. Accompanied by poor general cleanliness (including the previous occupants food in the bed) and reluctant service from the staff, this is definetly not one to visit.

As this was a business trip, I will be recommending that my company never uses this hotel again.

The Queens Hotel is in a very central location in Perth and also had its own car parking, this being very handy for us. We booked a three night break that we saw on their website for only £99.00 per person which included dinner - dinner was very good, offering lots of choices on the menu - compliments to Chef!. All the staff were very friendly, smiley and helpful in the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, slighlty dated decor, although the staff did mention that the hotel is going through a refurbishment program at the moment. The leisure club was a nice added bonus, small but everything you need to enjoy and relax. I would definatly reccommend this hotel and will be going back to stay again.

My girlfriend and I decided to get away for a romantic break and chose the city of Perth and when we saw this hotel nearby the railway station we thought it would be good after all the name itself is decent.
We booked into the hotel and we allocated room 213, on entering the room we were struck by the creeking floor boards, the 80's decor however this was not the worst as around 5pm on our return to the hotel we noticed the toilet was leaking, we put down a dry towel to help swell up any watter, we then reported this matter to the reception who said a manager would like at the problem and see what could be done. On returning to the hotel that evening, another receptionist informed us that no one had checked the room as the manager was on duty at another of the hotels in the area and would be across in the morning to check things out.
We awaited this accordingly, during the night I personally heard strange noises coming from the toilet and in the morning it was noticable that the towel placed down earlier was absolutely soaking. We then again the reception area about things and were told the same as the previous evening re manager would be across today. On returing to the hotel around 5/6pm at night we were informed by the supposed duty manager that there was problem with the toilet and that we would be allocated room 217 and no extra cost!
This is where things start to go pearshaped even more so as when we moved from room 213 to 217 and my girlfriend was unpacking she noticed her purse which contained money, cards and personal information was missing, we accordingly checked absolutely everywhere including the previous room of 213 but nothing was in sight, we even turned our own bags and new room upside down to be safe before reporting anything.
The duty manager seemed completely at a loss to explain things and to help us, she also seemed to change the story on each and every occassion and it was clear she hadn't an idea or was worried out of all proportions about things. The police were called and everything reported and I along with my girlfriend await the outcome of things.
Oh and the comments about the rooms being so warm at night are spot on, we were in two and can certainly say this was the case.
All I would say is avoid this place like the plague.
