“Highly Reccomended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

I visited chatni on recommendation, the staff were so warming and polite, and the food was fantastic. Definatley going back later this month for a meal on my birthday. I had chicken pakora, and chicken korma - absolutely spot on. Cant wait to go back. only thing that would make it better would be if they did delivery, but then again that might be too good as id be ordering all the time!

Our group all enjoyed the meal Pakora was light and tasty, mains also delicious, portion sizes right to leave us satisfied but not bloated Enjoyed the light nan bread too, and the Cinnamon bark in the rice was simply done but added a pleasant dimention The staff and environment also made the evening good Will go back

“Fantastic food and superbly attentive staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

My better half and I visited Chatni on Thursday 10th Jan.
Greeted warmly on arrival we were shown to a table in the tastefully decorated restaurant and seated.

A very pleasant waiter who genuinly looked pleased to see us asked for drinks and when we asked if we could have Rose wine by the glass ( not an option on the menu) he happily checked and then re-appeared with my good lady's wine.

When taking our order he was attentive and actually questioned when i asked for 4 poppadums " you have ordered the mixed starter for 2 which is quite big, how about 2 poppadums and if you need more we can do that" , nice to see someone not just interested in the money.

I asked a bout a curry ( Mughli -E-Azam) that I had not tried before and he gave a detailed description of both the preparation and the dish flavours and strength.

Superb quality of food , at a pace that was comfortable, and good checks to see that all was ok.

I would thoroughly recommend this establishment for a visit.......we will definitely be back.

“Best Indian food within a 50 mile radius of Perth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

The chef at the Chatni DOES NOT use the usual three curry pot method of 99% of Indian Restaurants do. If you find all dishes at an Indian restaurant taste the same then the chances are that the chef uses the three pot method. One pot is mild, one is medium spiced and the third is hot and spicy. Then the chef throws in the identifying ingredigents i.e. lamb or chicken, spinach or peppers. I'm sick and tired of such restaurants and will name and shame in future, especially if it claims to be authentic.
At the Chatni, each dish is different. We had two different main courses and we'd never had either before. We both had a chicken dish and the meat was moist and beautifully cooked. We tried a take out meal first a few weeks ago and it was excellent. The food was hot, well cooked, tastey and very reasonably priced. This was our experience of eating in the restaurant too.
The waiter and manager were friendly and genuinely interested in our preferences and requirements. The atmosphere was calm and warm, perfect for an intimate meal.
If you appreciate good Indian food you will really enjoy the Chatni.
