While visiting the UK recently I had occasion to visit Perth and was fortunate to stay at The Townhouse. The warm welcome from David and Laurent was a fitting start to a memorable stay. The wonderful decor and the blend of antique and modern furniture and fittings made for an ambience befitting a mini luxury hotel. The spacious well appointed bedroom would not have been out of place in a stately home. And the cooked breakfast was just the perfect start to a day of sight seeing, served in the warm, intimate breakfast room. Anyone who visits Perth without staying at The Townhouse will miss a very special experience. My sincere thanks to my hosts for making my visit to Perth one of the highlights of my UK visit.

Couldn't fault the Townhouse. We were made to feel at home from the start even the dog was greeted fondly. David and Laurent were the nicest people ever they even offered to dog sit, could have adopted them they were so nice. Our dog Shiva was given a sausage for breakfast and a doggie bag to go :) We had a lovely home made shortbread and chocolate brownie each on a plate in the bedroom with lovely cups and saucers and a teapot to make a proper brew! Lovely jubbly! Also opposite the hotel is a large park area to give the dog a bit of excercise.

For food at tea time we went to Summers near the City Hall they were very dog friendly, we ate outside with a brolly incase of rain. Willows was dog friendly too. They are both near to the Townhouse.

Thanks for a Lovely stay :)

Oh my goodness. This bed and breakfast has it all. Charming owners, fantastic accomodation, clean clean clean, unlike other places that I have stayed! The cooked breakfast is the best ever. Weather...hmmm too bad this couple could not have control over it!! Haha..one does not go to Scotland for the weather. Surrounding area Perth, is a dream and the gateway to "The Highlands". So much history and the locals are the most friendly in the world. I WILL BE BACK!

David, the owner, persuaded me to write this review but I would rather keep this fantastic find a secret!
I challenge anyone to find better accommodation in any hotel, anywhere!

Our first floor room overlooking The Inches and hills beyond is unbelievable, So spacious with plaid drapes dressing the double sash windows, elaborate cornice and ceiling rose, freshly painted, beautiful antique furniture, marble fireplace, comfortable seating area, large flat screen television, high spec ensuite with good shower, fabulously comfortable bed and our morning tea from Royal Albert china.

A warm welcome from the instant one arrives and David serves a breakfast to order in the morning, perfectly prepared from the fresh fruit salad to the cooked food.

Clearly the owners enjoy running this business and this makes one's stay so perfect.

If you are the type of person who would appreciate this place then please book without hesitation.

I booked in for one night only and was very happy with everything. The furnishings are very tasteful and perfectly compliment the ample rooms of this period property. It would be hard to find a better location, which is perfect for the City Centre of and faces the open parkland of Perth's South Inch. The breakfast is cooked to order and was perfect for my requirements. The rooms to the rear overlook the railway line to Dundee and although my room was at this side of yhe property I slept perfectly and this wasn't an issue.

This place just oozes class all the way. Our room was very spacious, with a view over the adjacent park. The facilities in the rooms are equal to anything you would find in a top hotel. There was no skimping on breakfast either. A fresh fruit salad hit the spot to freshen the palate prior to a full cooked breakfast. Can't fault this place in any way and just wish that all B & B's were of this standard - or even close. Look forward to finding an excuse to retum.
