“Lovely people and a lovely hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2014

From the moment we arrived at the Gailes to our departure, everyone was just so welcoming, friendly and helpful from Stephanie on Reception, to the lovely ladies in the restaurant. Our room was spotless, comfortable and nicely decorated. We stayed the one night and enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant from the light bite menu which was more than enough had and a yummy breakfast the next day The hotel also hosted my aunt's wake which was handled really well in a quiet room away from the main areas. All in all, a really good find and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you.

We had the most wonderful wedding at the Gailes in January of this year. The staff were very friendly, super helpful and very accommodating. We were able to have a wedding tailored to our desires.

The day itself was fantastic. It feels like your own wee cosy hotel. The food was top notch and we enjoyed a fun ceilidh after.

The honeymoon suite is a real selling point, complete with its own spa!

The prices are very reasonable which makes it a fantastic value for money wedding venue!

Check it out!

From the second we entered the gailes we loved it. the staff were lovely so friendly and informed. The room we had was absolutely spotless as was the rest of the hotel could not find one spec of dust anywhere. we had requested a smoking room and it was lovely and did not smell of stale smoke. we had a great view over the golf course. we had a 3 course dinner in the zest resturaunt which was lovely from start to finish. and the price was only £36.00 for 2 of us having three courses and a beer each.Had a fantastic sleep the bed was huge and so comfy. we ran out of tea and milk and the receptionist was more than happy to supply us with more at no charge. the breakfast was stunning top quality produce is used. especially the ham and cheeses. and the sausages and bacon. will definately be returning to the gailes very soon. as smokers we feel we were treated extremely welcome. i honestly cannot fault our stay. cant wait to go back.

We received a warm welcome at the Gailes and were impressed with just about everything. Our room had a massive King size bed, we had a lovely view from our window, the room was perfect for our needs.

Dinner was lovely, only thing i'd say could be improved was the dessert on the chefs menu, the ice cream was nice but didnt keep with the presentation of the rest of the meal. The cocktails were great, would highly recommend the French Martini, I had a few and they were amazing. The restaurant and bar were busy and had a good atmosphere.

Breakfast was lovely, hot food was on order which was good as the quality was much better and there was no queuing which was great. I was offered a table right away, coffee arrived quickly and I was told to help myself to the continental buffet whilst I waited on my hot food.

One thing that stood out on our visit was the staff, they are hardworking and very welcoming, they go the extra mile and ensure you have everything you need. We left feeling relaxed and that's what a hotel break is all about.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 30.

Never been to the gailes restaurant before but me and the wife thought we would give it a try! The food was very good but it was very expensive as were the drink prices! The service was abit slow but nothing major! I will be back but it's not a restaurant you would come to every weekend mainly because of the prices!

We had my daughter, who lives in the USA and her boyfriend , who lives in Italy, over staying with us and decided to do a two night break at this hotel for New Year. We had a fabulous time over the two days. Rooms were spacious and superb. The amount of food we ate was great for what we had paid. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.
They had set the tables for New year and they looked stunning, like for a wedding all lilac and white. Beautiful. The piper at the bells was just fantastic, very scotttish and showed our visitors what a great time we have at the New Year. There's too much for me to write in this post but would recommend this place for value also. We had the best New year 2014 !!
