“Good for a quiet business lunch”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Again the Hacbar lives up to expectations with an excellent lunch for a colleague and myself in surroundings quiet enough to discuss business in. Had the macaroni cheese - excellent taste and value. Colleague had the Christmas Ciabatta special with turkey and cranberry. Will definitely be back.

“Superb View, Good Food, and a Warm Atmosphere”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

The HAC has a relatively small restaurant and bar that offers so much more as it is part of the arts centre with an impressive exhibition of paintings and craft objects that are for sale. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. The staff are helpful and appropriately friendly. A good selection of daily newspapers are provided.

The Scottish Maritime Museum is nearby and well worth a visit.

“Great harbour location.”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

HAC means the Harbour Arts Centre and the bar restaurant offers a pleasant lunch or drinks opportunity associated with changing gallery, music and theatre experiences. Worth a visit for the view alone!

“What a surprise awaits you”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

Looks nothing from the outside - it's part of the Council Art Centre (but independently managed). Once inside, neat and clean, with very welcoming staff. The menu is reasonably comprehensive, but when the food arrives, be it a toasty or something much grander, you are in for such a surprise. Simply wonderful - and after a dozen or more visits I've never been disappointed.
