“Lovely Stay”
Reviewed November 16, 2011

Stayed here with my family for a night stay!! Its a lovely hotel, the staff were so friendly especially David the Night Porter, what a lovely man, David served us breakfast in the morning and this was delicious. We also had a meal in the restaraunt in the evening which again was delicious and the portion sizes were huge!! My little daughter loved the hotel and cried when we was leaving even though we had only been there a night!! We would make a trip to Scotalnd just to go back, we really enjoyed our stay!! Thankyou everyone.

My family and I had booked a nights stay in Ayr only to be told on arrival at the B & B that we had been double booked. We then had to find a hotel at short notice, and as we were heading to Stevenson, we arrived in Irvine and fell upon this hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the meal we ate in the conservatory restaurant was delicious - good service and well priced. What made this stay so pleasant for us was the wonderful staff, from the receptionist and waitress, to the night porter, who made a delicious breakfast for us the following morning and treated us very warmly. It made for a very pleasant stay and would recommend anyone give this place a go. It is a lovely building with lots of character and was a hit with us all, particularly my 3 year old grand-daughter! Thanks to all the team for your hospitality!

Our party of four resided here on 9th September to celebrate this birthday at Irvine Rugby Club.
After the friendly helpful welcome and splendid meal cooked at time of ordering, we were assured staff was on nights to accommodate our return to this establishment in the small hours. The team here go the extra mile to ensure your comfort at every turn, delighting in providing a relaxed, friendly happy experience for guests. The en-suite rooms boast a high standard of cleanliness, a feature throughout the hotel. Breakfast was a grand experience, when it was lovely just to read the morning papers provided in peace over coffee. In future this will be our choice of residence in Irvine as the Annfield House Hotel team make you feel at home.

Room Tip: It is worth the effort to be on top floor for views plus peace and quiet.

As a family we often use this hotel for family lunches often 8-12 people including children. The restaurant has 3 dining areas. A formal area with period features. The bar area and the conservatory extension. The food is always very good with a wide selection although as you would expect from a hotel sometimes a little pricy but worth it.. The staff are friendly and accommodating . The conservatory area has views across the river and to the hills of Ayrshire. A very pleasant dining experience for all the family.

We had just a one night stay and regretted that we did not dine that evening. The food smelt great. The furniture and fittings suit the age of the building and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A good location on the edge of Irvine.

We stayed here while visiting friends in Irvine. This is the second time we have used this hotel for this purpose. It is a nice hotel which is reasonably centrally located to the town centre. As we were out at a friend’s party we did not eat in the hotel, but the breakfast in the morning was good. The room was nice and to a standard you would expect from this grade of hotel. Overall we found this an ideal place to stay in Irvine
