Me and my wife stayed for 1 night during the Marymass festival. First of all the price was £35 ..so we had no real expectations.. but were pleasantly surprised. We had a comfortable well decorated en suite room with Wall mounted Tv ...fridge and microwave and as a bonus loads of goodies such as bottled water crisps and Shortbread. We will happily stay again. Its also right at Irvine Beach so that was handy.

They thought of everything. Room bright and very nice. Fridge and microwave. Welcome hamper aswell as usual tea and coffee. Large bathroom too.
The nearest we had to a complaint was the milk. That batch must have been out in a thunderstorm and was very cheesy, though still in date till january. Nice view of the harbour from the window. No breakfast but good choice of places to go nearby,in a couple of minutes walking range.
We would stay again.

The Marina is situated down by the harbour, nice location. The place is functional and basic. There is no reception but you are told of that in advance also you are given details of how to gain entry. The room we had was nice enough (ensuite is a plus) again basic but tidy. We were only using this as a base as I was back in my home town to see family. Have say we'll use it again as it was good value for money.

Stayed her a couple of years ago and were welcomed with a welcome basket with beers, pringles etc, this time there was 2 bottles of water and no booze, as there is no reception here I texted Andrew and was told they no longer provide alcohol due to licencing laws. We had paid for a family room and lucky there was no family as there would have been a fight over the one packet of crisps provided. Tea and coffee is advertised but all we had in our dusty basket was a few sugars and one milk, on leaving, i noticed the store room left open by one of the staff and could see tea bags and coffee sachets so not sure why we didnt get any. There is a microwave and fridge in the room but there are no chairs or a table so if you wanted to eat anything you will have to sit on the bed.
Shower room is very small and situated in room with double bed, there could do with a couple of hooks being on the door for the towels and perhaps in the room to hang jackets.
The heating is on a timer but there was a heater provided should we require extra heat.
We had a comfortable no frills stay, you get what you pay for but its worth a visit and is near to the beach, bars, shopping etc.
Will return :)

Room tip: Bring your own beer and wine
