We have just got back from a 3 night stay at this hotel.

The hotel is located next to a pub which had sky sports and were happy to deal with requests for which match/sport to show. If you don't want to eat at the pub then there is KFC, McDonalds and Burger King all within walking distance.

Our room was very good, clean and had a large flat screen tv (42" I think) on the wall.

The only problem we had was the room got very very warm through the night. We had fantastic weather whilst we were there which was a great thing but on a night time the heat was sometimes unbearable. The hotel had already provided a fan in the room however the noise from it kept my young son awake so had to turn it off at times .

My wife mentioned this to the lady on reception - we don't ever complain and it was more of just and off the cuff comment. The lady was very helpful and understanding and even refunded us a night which we certainly weren't expecting.

Overall a great stay and would definitely return in the future.

I stayed for two individual weeks. My first week was in one of the older rooms. Although the room was very clean etc, the shower was very weak which was just a small thing.

The second week I stayed in one of the new rooms in the extension and Wow, what a difference.
The room was much better, big TV, better lighting and a lovely high pressure shower.

The staff, both in the hotel and in the restaurant were absolutely outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for any of them.

Overall, the stay was very good.

My only real complaint was the wi-fi.... For a payment of £3 per 24hr period I would expect faultless connections and speedy performance, instead it was slow and had an erratic connection. To be honest I have had better free wi-fi in other hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for a new room in the extension. Much better rooms with no traffic noise.

We stay here often as our business takes us here frequently. We don't eat here but we were here before the refurb, during and are due back again soon. Looking forward to seeing the finished article and another pleasant stay.

We stayed here for the Highland Games at Gordon Castle and were a bit disappointed as we usually find the premier inns to be great. The restaurant was the area which let it down as it could have done with a good clean. The high chair which they gave us for our grandson hadn't been cleaned properly from the child before and we had to clean it ourselves. When I wiped the edge of the table where my grandson was sitting the tissue I used was filthy! The carpet in the restaurant was dirty and it was badly stained and sticky in front of the table with the cereals and juice. We thought there had been a spillage on our first morning but it was still the same on the second day. It really put us off and we decided to eat elsewhere on the second evening. The staff on reception were friendly enough but the staff in the restaurant were not so welcoming and we felt they would have preferred if we had dined elsewhere. The one exception was Calum, who was working at the children,s area on the evening we ate there. He was such a nice young man, so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. He could teach the others a lot about customer service. Our room was clean enough and we had a good night's sleep but we would probably stay elsewhere if we return to Elgin.

in my opinion hotel gives good value for money, used for 1 night on travel holiday. Easy to find, clean, quiet room, friendly staff, option to eat at adjacent pub for dinner and breakfast, everything you want from a budget hotel.

Stayed here for brother inlaws wedding in Lossiemouth( about 5 miles away). Phoned the day before to see if we could get an early check in as wedding was at 2:30 and we had, had a long journey. Told that they would ask housekeeping to clean our room first. Arrived at 12:45 and were able to check straight in so had plenty time to change.
