“Great stay”
Reviewed July 13, 2009

We have stayed for a long weekend twice since January and can each time have had a great stay. We had room 34 looking to the front of the hotel, new re-furbished good size and large windows. The service and food has always been excellent and we would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend away.

went on the evening of 18 th june for meal which our boss paid for. it was also my birthday.

service was good and we got our our room. The starter i had which was chicken liver pate was outstanding. there was bread at the table for everyone to help themselves. the waitress advised on what wine to buy.

the only disappointing thing for me was that the new potatoes which i had with the chicken highlander was that they were reheated/microwaved. They had a reheated taste.

Otherwise a pleasant experience. I got flowers and a cake from my collegues which the hotel cut and kept for me until the following day.

Touring around and found hotel by chance. Booked for one night, but was so comfy and friendly and relaxing, stayed another night.
The manager and girls at reception couldnt do enough for us. The breakfast was the best on our 8 week holiday. We ate in the restaurant both nights and that too was superb. Comfy room, free wifi, comfy bed, heaps of TV channels, and they even took 10 pounds off our daily room rate for staying two nights. What more could two budget travellers from NZ want. Highly recommended.

Stayed here whilst attending a seminar in the maisondieu suite. Very well located only a couple of hundred metres from the railway station and a couple minutes walk from the town service. Check in was easy, friendly and polite receptionist. Was given room 41 which was a newly refurbished double room. Very clean, bright and quite modern.
Had a meal in the garden room, good selection on the menu, staff were very friendly and polite. Prices very reasonable for a hotel. Food was very good. Lounge bar very comfortable and if you like whisky this is the place for you, with over 100 different malts.
All in all this was a very enjoyable stay.

Stayed for four nights on business (booked on my behalf) and was apprehensive having seen the reviews about the rooms! Proved to be totally unfounded! I was given one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was finished to a high standard. We ate in the hotel each evening and were extremely satisfied with both the quality and the service. In fact the friendliness and courtesy of the staff should be commended! All in all a very enjoyable stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any category of traveller - I will certainly be using the Laichmoray again!

Easy to find and all staff very friendly and helpful. We had a spacious front facing room. Very little traffic noise. The room and all other parts of the hotel were very clean and comfortable. Excellent large breakfast. Plenty of car parking and large gardens to rear. of hotel. Very pleasant stay and would higly recommend to others.
