“Magical place, not to miss!”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Worth to visit. I have not seen much stone circles in Scotland yet, but from what I have seen, these are the most interesting. Setting is perfect and the views from the place is stunning. I could spend days taking photographs there.

Although there is not much known about the purpose of them, there are some info panels from Historic Scotland (well done, lads).

“A magical and special place!”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

I came walking from Catacol and it's easy to find the signs to get to the Stone Cricles. The walk is pretty easy and you can find many small birds on your way. After climbing some gates you arrive at this magical place. The scenery is beautiful and you can see for many miles around for the stone are situated in the middle of this valley like landscape. I brought my own lunch and spend an hour just hanging around. There were a few walkers present but not really crowded.

“Stunning at Sunset”
Reviewed February 9, 2012

Visited at sunset which added to the magic. Easy walk to the site, a wee bit boggy underfoot at some areas but well worth getting your feet wet
