We played the nine hole course the day we docked. Easy cab ride under 5 euro from port. Pro shop welcoming and friendly. They were honest about the nine. This nine is hilly. It is a challenage. It was good exercise and a nice way to spend a few hours off the ship. Some great views.

First class golf course. Choice of 9 hole course or 18 hole course. Played the 18 hole course which was in very good condition and the greens fast in addition I was totally blown away with the amazing views. People were very friendly and helpful. Buggies and power trolleys were available if required

Who plays golf and doesn't have playing in Scotland on their bucket list?
From the taxi cab driver, head pro, clubhouse, members, to the house pub staff, everyone at the Greenock makes it the memorable experience you want it to be.

With five par 3s and three par 5s, the course is 2952 out and 2886 in for a 5838 par 68. Do not let the distance fool you, with the changes in elevation, turns, and hedgerows you need to play smart shots the entire round. The course opens with the "The Gully" and closes with the "Last Carry"; in between is the greenest course I played on all year. Playing with members is definitely helpful, providing both course and countryside knowledge.

Then of course there is sitting in the pub with a pint.
What a great day.
