This was our second stay in Greenacre, this year 9/9/12 to12/9/12. Olly and Brian make you very comfortable and welcome. Breakfast is all you can eat and haggis if you want it. Home cooked evening meal was fab and just as great as last year. Olly and Brian help you choose places to visit and there are plenty of books and information in the bedrooms to help you decide where to go. Alness is so beautiful, stunning scenary, peaceful and quiet if anyone is looking for a place to relax and chill out. Loads of birds in their garden, I have never seen so many different types of birds altogether feeding on the nuts provided by Olly and Brian it must be the clean air in Scotland. Ben and Finn are the most friendliest dogs, they just want to be stroked and loved. This is great for dog lovers. I strongly recommend that you visit Greenacre for yourselves. You will thoroughly enjoy it. Thanks Olly, Brian. Ben and Finn xxxx

For my 50th birthday, my wife asked me if I would finally like to make it to New York or New Zealand. I chose Greenacre.

It was our third visit and this time my adult daughter & BF joined us. As usual it was superb. Olly & Brian were the usual perfect hosts and Ben & Finn were great with our collie-cross and toddler. The food was its usual high standard. In particular, Olly served one of her signature dishes (Bacon-wrapped pork filet with red pepper coulis) on my actual birthday.

All in all we had a superb time. Thank you for making my birthday special.

Can honestly say this was the most dog friendly B and B we have ever stayed at and the location is great for dog owners.
Felt very relaxed staying there with our dogs and would highly recommend Greenacre.

I stayed here with some friends when I was cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End. We found the B&B to be warm, comfortable, and we were astounded at the wonderful hospitality of Olly and Brian - they really will treat you like one of the family! This B&B is in a really beautiful part of Scotland - thank you Olly and Brian for going to such lengths to keep us fed, watered and comfortable! :o)

Since we last visited Greenacre my GF & I have married and we have a one year old son, so it seemed like the perfect time to return. We stayed for four nights and the 500 mile round trip was worth it. Nothing has changed. Olly and Brian are still the perfect hosts and Ben & Finn are great company for our dog Bobby.

The breakfasts are still fantastic and we had four evening meals served in the conservatory. All in all fantastic value at less than £300. However the price is not the best bit about Greenacre. It's the whole experience. Brian and Olly are great company and our meals were always peppered with interesting conversation (but don't get Olly started on politics!).

Our wee boy Hamish loved it too. He loved sitting in the conservartory watching the birds and he loved tucking into one of Olly's gingerbreadmen after dinner every night. I walked in the woods every morning before breakfast with all the dogs and after the first day, our collie, Bobby, refused to get into the car, preferring to stay with Finn and Ben.

Needed an overnight stop on the way home after collecting a rescue dog & found this B&B on a dog friendly website. Have stayed at B&Bs before that allowed dogs - but there's a big difference between allowing dogs & actively welcoming dogs, & that's where Greenacre scores big time. Olly & Brian were not fazed at all by me turning up early with a massive German Shepherd (Dylan) that I'd only had for 3 hours, but happily directed us to the woods out the back for a walk. On our return they introduced Dylan to their own two dogs Finn & Ben & they all spent the rest of the day charging around their big secure garden. They made me a lovely evening meal (which I hadn't booked in advance) when they realised that I was going to eat my stale leftover sandwiches.
Room was very big & comfortable, with a wash hand basin, TV, electric blankets & lots of tea, coffee & milk in a thermos - a welcome change from all those places that ration you to 2 teabags.
The most welcoming B&B for dog owners imaginable -but be warned - Finn's party trick is luring your unsuspecting dog into the garden pond at high speed!

We booked this before heading off on a John O Groats to Land's End Cycle ride as our second night's accomodation. My husband was cycling and I was driving with our 2 sons (2 and 4 years old)!
We arrived in time to watch the Grand Prix (my 4 year old is a huge fan!) in the living room with Brian while Olly made some lovely tea. She then packed us off to the nearest playground with a kite she had under the stairs!
We had a delicious roast dinner with homemade wine and beer with Olly and Brian (the hosts), a lovely breakfast and a great packed lunch the next day.
The room was large and airy with a sink in the corner - plenty of space for all of us. The gardens were beautiful and the boys enjoyed exploring it!
It was by far the most welcoming and friendly B&B I have stayed in and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area.
