“A glorious way to spend a Saturday afternoon”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Had a delightful time at Boath House on Saturday at a Champagne lunch. What a treat. Fantastic food, as always from Boath House, with the opportunity to both drink and learn more about some wonderful champagne. Add in some pleasant company and a chance to wander round the beautiful gardens. Couldn't imagine a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

“Special place, special meal.”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Boath House is a very special place. A Michelin starred restaurant that has been producing consistently good food in the highlands of Scotland for a number of years it is a place any foody visiting the North should head to. It has been one of my favourites for a special treat for a while and when I saw they were doing a special lunch pairing their usual exquisite food with champagne I just had to book a place.
Boath house is an old Scottish country house in the baronial style but the walled garden in which they still grow much of the salad, herbs and vegetables dates back even further and that is where we had our first glass of Thienot. It was a rose which was as light and refreshing as you could imagine. With a strawberry or cherry dipped in creme freche it was a wonderful aperitifs. And to enjoy it in the garden, as tranquil a spot as there is you could imagine, was idyllic.
After we went to the house we enjoyed a spectacular lunch with oysters, fois gras and halibut each paired with a different style of champaign from the same house. Absolutely indulgent, luxurious and fantastic.
Not the sort of thing you can do every day, but if you get the chance make sure you grasp it. Wonderful.

“Awesome!”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

A lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was both my wife & daughter's first experiences of a Michelin-starred restaurant - and they were sold! Daughter was gobsmacked.
Wonderful food, fantastic flavours, gorgeously presented and impeccably served. The price was also relatively reasonable.

“The best!”
Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

Never had the urge to write a review online before but credit must go to Boath house, quite simply the best meal I have ever had.

Myself and my wife had the most perfect evening. On arrival we were warmly greeted and sat in the front room. Cocktails and delicious nibbles were promptly served, a great start to the evening. Although very busy, service was excellent and we enjoyed the buzz and anticipation for dinner.

We both opted for the 6 course tasting menu, each course was cooked and presented perfectly.

It was an experience I will never forget and will definitely be returning again.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

We were staying near Nairn for our anniversary and I was excited to find a Michelin restaurant in the vicinity so we booked for lunch. The food was pleasant but there was little choice at lunchtime. Either beef or fish but both came with Yorkshire pudding! It's a lovely place with a beautiful garden but I cannot believe they have a star. It is way below the level of other starred restaurants we've visited.
