“Incredibly friendly B&B, spoil you and make you feel at home”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

The B& B is located at the edge of a park that leads to the shore and sea line. Great views from our window, rooms spacious and tastefully decorated. A mixture of old beautiful furniture and light rattan units. The breakfast is incredible. Besides the traditional Scottish breakfast there is always a big bowl of fresh fruits, joghurts, cereals, juices and - how great was that - raisins soaked in malt whiskey for your porridge if you like. Angela and George are an incredibly friendly couple, helping out whereever they can. Price is really reasonable as for the same amount you could stay in the close by caravan park with no breakfast.
We stayed with our two young children and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure to have you stay and we could have happily adopted Liam and Yanik. They are delightful little boys. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Glebe End and we hope that we will be able to welcome you back sometime in the future.

We stayed three nights with Angela and George who were the perfect hosts. We travelled by train, not realising that Nairn does not have a public bus service. Angela and George picked us up from the station and took us back again at the end of our stay. They also took us to Cawdor Castle one day, insisting they were going that way anyway!. The room we had was lovely, bright and spacious. Our private bathroom, although not en suite, was only a short hop from the room and was very large with a free standing bath as well as separate shower, etc. There is also a nice guest lounge and conservatory. Plenty of freshly cooked food for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful house and lovely garden.

Thank you both for your glowing review - we are only sorry that the weather wasn't so kind to you. We appreciate that the local bus service is limited unless you want to go in the direction of Inverness or Aberdeen. The lovely roses are still looking good but the chocolates have not lasted so long.

Glebe End is located with a view of the sea in the town of Nairn. It is a short walk into town for the shops and restaurants. This spot makes a great middle point for exploring Cawdor, Cullofen and Fort George.
the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with lovely furnishings and bedding.
The hosts, George and Angela seem to want to do anything they can to make your stay a pleasure able one. Breakfasts are more than plentiful, with farm fresh eggs and all the fixings. They serve the cooked breakfast at your request from 8 til 9. the buffet has plenty also, yogurts, cereals fruit, cheese.
We were in need of laundry cleaned, and Angela suggested the Nairn laundry, which did a super job, and even delivered, freeing us up to do our touring.
if you can get a room here, grab it!

Room Tip: we were able to get a triple room with a sea view.

Having arrived here to take part in a golf tournament, which in turn meant an early start in the morning, we were old that we wouldn't get a cooked breakfast as they don't do a cooked breakfast util 0830. We still got cereal, toast etc but forgive me if we are wrong, we paid for a service which ultimately we did not receive. The rooms are lovely and George and Angela are very friendly but perhaps there attitude towards early breakfast should change? They even "joked" about going back to bed once we had left at 0730 for our golf.

We are sorry that your stay at Glebe End was spoilt by the lack of an early cooked breakfast. Your initial booking was made by a third party on the telephone and I did explain to him that breakfast was served from 8 o'clock, but that a buffet breakfast was available prior to that time.

To ensure no repeat of this complaint from future guests I have modified our website to reflect our breakfast policy.

I'm a visiting professor in Scotland for 2,5 months. During the we, my family and I are always travelling, visiting different Scottish areas. Last we we went to nairn and we booked in Glebe End. It was really a very nice experience as we were not so lucky till now with B&B and hotels! Hotels in partiucalr are very expensive and give you a very bad accomodation and service! on the opposite, ANgela and George put a lot of love in the way in which they treat hosts: they really care about you: it's not only business and you can feel it! The house is very nice and cleaned as well as the rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is excellent! A very warm welcome, a very nice atmosphere, decor and fursnishing of a very high standard. You should go there! My son is still asking about the "grand parents" of Nairn...

Room Tip: THe only problem of the rooms is that you do not have the bathroom inside it. You have your own and...

A lovely clean house and a very warm welcome from George & Angela. If you are looking for a B&B with a sea view and a friendly warm welcome then this is the place to visit. Great selection for breakfast, well cooked and goodquality food.
