I booked the Inveran having done a quick online search from my base in Asia only two days before my arrival. Rosemary Young, the owner, made me feel that I had made the right decision from 7500 miles away (tell me, who else has that knack?) and so I went ahead and booked for my dad and I. Having done our annual trip through Scotland for over 15 years now, we could not recommend this place more highly. Rosemary is incredibly helpful - she kindly lent me a set of clubs for my outing to the local golf course - serves up great breakfasts and is fountain of knowledge on where to go and what to do.

This is a lovely B&B with everthing that is required by weary travellers. The room was spacious and well presented. Rosemary Young the proprietor is a very welcoming and helpful hostess and cooks a very good breakfast. The property and its gardens are of a high standard in a pleasant location.

Six of us are just back from a four day trip to Nairn during which time we were looked after most capably by Rosemary Young at Inveran Lodge; absolutely no fault could be found from the minute we arrived (to a warm welcome) to the day of departure (and a fond farewell) and not one of us would have the slightest hesitation in recommending this establishment to anyone visiting the area.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and five star treatment in a five star lodge! Couldn't fault a thing and highly recommend a visit. We didn't want to leave.

My fellow golf traveler and I were at Inveran Lodge for two nights. (This is really a stately Edwardian B & B, so don't be fooled by photos suggesting otherwise.) As other reviewers have said, Rosemary Young provides matchless hospitality: spacious, elegant rooms on a quiet street, full Scottish breakfast cooked to order, a guests' drawing room with TV and reading material (and sherry!), and her personal attention to every reasonable request. Afternoon tea is offered, featuring fresh-baked scones and such. Rosemary is charming and personable, and her extensive background as an innkeeper is on full display here. She called the golf club to reserve a time for us and called ahead to Dornoch, our next stop, to reserve a place to stay. Rates are certainly reasonable for a B & B of this quality. Inquire: [--].

This is a great B&B to stay at. We were a group of golfers wanting a clean and reasonably priced place to stay. What we got was much more than that. The owner was extremely helpful. Breakfast times were flexible which helped us with tee-off times. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. Off street parking was provided which meant we could leave our cars at the B&B as long as we wanted. And to top it all off, it was very reasonably priced. The B&B is situated between both the courses at Nairn.
