Owner description: Many people believe that this brooding lake in Northern Scotland, 21 square miles in size at an average depth of 800 feet, could certainly hide a large dinosaur-like "monster," the lake's long-time and elusive resident.

Go by your own car, unless you hate driving. There is much to see and exploring the Loch on both banks is very nice. Good buffet along the water, looking at different types of watersports.
Signing is not always too clear but with a little developed sense for direction it's easy to find your way. Driving from Loch ness to Fort William, one must visit the Urquheart Castle.

Who doesn't want to scan the lake for the mystery beast? We saw a dark shadow that could have been her.... The ruins of Loch Ness castle offer an interesting vantage point. That family doesn't sound like a lot of fun though. Takes dour Scots to a whole new level.

Located in the Scottish Highlands, the Loch is the second largest Loch in Scotland. The scenery is amazing and although the castle is mainly ruins, a visit will not disappoint the traveller.
