Owner description: Many people believe that this brooding lake in Northern Scotland, 21 square miles in size at an average depth of 800 feet, could certainly hide a large dinosaur-like "monster," the lake's long-time and elusive resident.

“Steeped in depth and mystery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

Located in the Scottish Highlands, the Loch is the second largest Loch in Scotland. The scenery is amazing and although the castle is mainly ruins, a visit will not disappoint the traveller.

Well some people would say it's just a lake,
But I probably got into the stories and the hype of this place, it felt 'mysterious', dark, and somehow mystifying for me.

The journey through the highlands and the misty mountains, wow just captivating!

“great highland experiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

we stayed at glasgow, and booked scotland tours for our trip, the operators were really nice picked up from the hotel at 7.30,and then we proceed to lochlomond and it is really nice travelling along the various lochs and the driver is our guide who briefs us along the tour.we pass next to fort william where we have lunch and than proceed to loch ness, i would suggest u to take cruise only rather than palace and cruise as u would really enjoy the cruise and cruise takes u near the palace from where u have a better view.after the cruise on the way back we pass through inverness and pethshire and reach glasgow by 8.00pm . i would recommend this tour if u r short on time and want to enjoy the highlands as this is the best option and the tour guide is really informative and helpful.if u visit scotland dont miss this tour as it is worth the visit.

“Beautiful and worth it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

The Loch Ness takes your breath away with the sheer beauty. Of course there is no Nessie. We had signed up with Jacobite tours. The bus picked us from Inverness bus station and dropped us at the jetty. They have multiple options. The best place to get all info is the Inverness Tourism Center right near River Ness. They have all the packages and leaflets. Jacobite tours was great. We went by ferry to Uruquahrt castle. 1 hour to go through the castle. Then by road to Nessie Center and from there back to Inverness. The Nessie center is interesting to know in gist the history of Nessie or you can always read on internet. Uruquahrt castle is worth it. But gets cold and windy so go prepared. There was hail storm when we visited and terribly cold. On Loch Ness, the scenery is beautiful and pristine. Food and knick-knacks are available on the ferry. As usual, the service was wonderful.
