Owner description: Many people believe that this brooding lake in Northern Scotland, 21 square miles in size at an average depth of 800 feet, could certainly hide a large dinosaur-like "monster," the lake's long-time and elusive resident.

I like visiting lochs and bodies of water, they can provide amazing sights. Loch Ness was on another level though, the pure size of it is astonishing. I would recommend going on the speed boat that takes you to the castle and back, it made our visit to Loch Ness from 'good' to 'really really glad we went', the guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots we didn't know.

Great lake with chilly water....
Been there with group tour. and visited unpopular side of the lake where locals go. surprisingly it was nice very less crowded place. People from the group enjoyed whiskey after swim in lake

This was the start of a brilliant road trip around Scotland. The drive between Inverness and Fort William along the banks of Loch Ness is a must do. Just a shame for the driver to miss out on the fabulous views. Don't forget to stop at Ulquhart Castle!

What a great disappointment this was. £7 plus to walk round a old house with some tellys telling you everything that you should have either learned at school or would be better of google searching..After driving a great distance you are welcomed by a expensive and poor visitor centre surrounded by expensive gift shops and poor cafe.I would personally spend the entrance fee on Urquart Castle a mile down the road which is breathtaking and interesting for both adults and kids..The loch is beautiful but would not single this out for a visit with so many great places to see.

We went to the Loch Ness on a cloudy and rainy day. But don't think that spoiled our day. It's was the most amazing place ever. The mist laying over the water making it so beautiful and so original. A must see if you are in Scottland.
