Agree 100% with the previous review. Definitely worth a trip for a large bowl of Cullen skink.
A small deli shop, selling sandwiches.

Cullen Skink at Buth Bheag has to be the best in Scotland - it was so good we drove back again another 30 miles to have it again the next day.

Prawn Sandwich also excellent.

A definite must visit if near Kyle of Localsh.

On a wonderfully warm October day it was too nice to waste sitting inside anywhere to eat, so, on advice, we came here and bought smoked salmon [3 styles] salads with 'sides' and sat on the harbour front, enjoying the autumn views of the bridge to Skye, the gathering mist on the mountain tops and a sunset to die for. Everything was so good we went back and stocked up for the following day's lunch. Excellent! The staff wrapped everything for us to take back with real Highland hospitality. A real pleasure in all ways.

Don't be put off by the fact that the place looks like one of those deadly fast sea food joints at Hastings or Yarmouth. It's definitely not. This serves the best Cullen Skink in the world, we kept ordering it elsewhere in restaurants afterwards, for two or three times the prices for half the quality you get here. A tub of Skink costs £3.50; follow that with a langoustine, crab and smoked salmon salad for £4.50 and you've got the perfect lunch for 8 smackers of foreign money.

Kyle of Lochalsh is a one horse town, with precious little else to see there - apart from shops closing down; so the perfect plan is to catch the 9.00 train from Inverness, enjoy almost three hours of amazing views, then get off at the end of the line and head for the sea front - where this seafood portacabin is located, get your lunch and take it back to the train before it leaves for the return journey to Inverness; go two stops back down the line and spend the rest of the afternoon in Plockton; which is an amazingly beautiful unspoilt fishing village.

Everybody that day seemed to be raving about the food they bought there.

We bought langoustines, prawn tails and beautifully fresh scallops to cook ourselves here, as well as buying seafood salads. Everything very fresh, tasty and staff were helpful. The only reason that it doesn't get 5/5 is that the seafood here is expensive compared to on the NE coast where we live (around double the price for lobster/kilo compared to Buckie/other NE ports) which rather put me off buying some of the more expensive items. I do fully understand that this is probably an issue for a small miority of the custom here.
