“Unusual and fun”

A bit expensive for a family but how often do you get underwater in a sea loch whilst warm and dry? Authoritative and informative commentary. Good even in bad weather. My six year olds enjoyed it.

“Exciting Cruise”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

This glassbottom boat cruise in western Scotland near the Isle of Skye is a gem. Make sure you don't miss it plan this as part of your Skye tour. The friendly captain gave lively narration of the sea, birds, seals, seabottom biological lives throughout the journey. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of photo opportunities. I like nature !!!

“Port Napier Wreck”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Brilliant trip out, captain was full of knowledge about the local area, animals and stories about the wreck. lots of wildlife and stunning scenery but the highlight was the trip out to the Port Napier wreck, NB trips only go on low tide to the wreck.

“Excellent”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

The Seaprobe Atlantis is a trip well worth making; although by no means cheap, it is worth the money and transformed our opinion of Kyle of Lochalsh.

We took the 2.45 sailing on Wednesday 25th September 2013, the last trip of the day, and lasting just under 2 hours. The price was £24 per adult, and there were probably about 15 adults and one child aboard; this was probably the optimal figure from a viewing standpoint, any more than that and it would have been a tight squeeze in the downstairs. We had the services of two very knowledgeable Scottish guides who not only very good at pointing out what there was to see, but were also very personable as well.

We saw otters, Harbour seals, Atlantic Grey seals, a wide variety of sea birds and the wreck of a WW2 minelayer; it has to be noted that the seamanship on display in getting the Seaprobe Atlantis tight up against the wreck was of the highest order. The sea in the shallows gave great views of the myriad of sea life and the eco system beneath us. All in all, a most enjoyable afternoon out. Cold, though!

Note - this trip is not suitable for disabled travellers, especially wheelchair-bound travellers.
