Description: The food philosophy at the Lime Tree is that dishes are made here from fresh, seasonal, locally sourced raw ingredients, then made into something special by our skilled innovative Chef team 'The Lime Tree Restaurant style is one we have come to know as Fiddly Posh Scottish: Lamb with a family tree, duck that went to Gordonstoun, fish that kept its nose clean. All this technically superb, and while served in a part of the country not blessed with an abundance of fine dining, nonetheless worthy of comparison with the cities best. Fort William finally has a heavy-weight culinary destination.' Sunday Times Restaurant The Lime Tree Restaurant is a multi award winning restaurant - Silver Eat Scotland - Two AA Rosette - Relish Good Food Guide Top Twenty Scottish Small Restaurant Private dining - Our fantastic Gallery Space is the perfect location when for Private Dinning or Special Celebrations. We can seat up to 50 persons and our Chef will tailor a meal to suit your requirements.

My wife and I stayed in the Lime Tree as an anniversary present While the room was spacious and clean the breakfast was a dissapointment they wanted to charge £5.00 extra for what was two slices of bread fried in egg (french toast) a bit much, and they ran out of orange juice which maybe acceptable in a rural B&B but not in a place the size of Fort Williama As for the prices of their drink at almost £17.00 for two large Gin and Tonics Whoa
Probably not go back

To put it quite simply....do not go and waste your money.
Food - tasteless,meagre portions & over priced
Staff - Unable to communicate effectively and forgot to take drinks and wine order.
Manager/Owners response when told of our dissappointment...."What can I say...I cant be here all the time!

Think that should give you an indication to avoid at all costs.

Wanted to book a last minute surprise for my fiance, for a romantic weekend, which included the dogs of course.
This place was recommended by a friend.
The hotel is quaint with a welcoming and positive atmosphere. Very relaxing
The room was great with a fantastic view of Loch Linne.
The food was exceptional and very well presented.
The gallery/paintings complimented the place. I ended up purchasing a few prints, which were painted by the owner.
The experience fulfilled our expectations and we will definately return one day.

Having had several tasty meals at the Lime Tree, I took my parents for sunday lunch. It turned out to be a wasted of time, coming from Oban where there are equally no good value eateries we had bad service, dirty table and cutlery, fork had a hair stuck to it! Espresso's had no crema whatsoever and the waitress wasn't bothered when we commented! Anyway enough waffle we just paid, had a quick word at reception (who were equally not bothered) and left. I think in the restaurant trade it is called a one hit - they are only tourists, who cares!!!
