We stayed at Birchbrae lodges just after new year 2020 with a Wowcher deal costing £200.00 plus £30.00 weekend supplement. This was great value foe a three night stay. Birchbrae is located between Onich and Fort William , just across from the Corran ferry car park, in the Scottish highlands. There are around six wooden lodges in the complex and each lodge has two parking spaces. Inside the lodges there are three good sized bedrooms, one double and two twin , two bathroom / shower rooms and an open plan kitchen dining and living room area. Our cabin was spotless and well equipped.
The owners have not littered the cabins with notices , like some we have been to, but have a folder with everything you need to know. A short five minute walk brings you to Inchree lodges and pub / restaurant if you can’t be bothered cooking. Nearby Fort William has lots of pubs and eateries if you want food or drink too but a taxi will set you back £25-£30.00. Lots of lovely walks in and around the cabins

Room tip: Birchbrae has one cabin that is suited for disabled visitors

We had a wonderful week in a Birchbrae lodge at Xmas. Nice and comfortable, complete furniture and kitchen - super clean and superb service. We know the area well and it is an excellent quiet place from where one can explore the Glencoe area, the other side of Loch Linnhe, Fort William and the Ben Nevis area.

Thought we were joining our friends in a 4☆cabin for a few days but the building was so overgrown and dark looking. The kitchen had loose cupboard doors and the cooker was rusty on the top. There were slugs in the shower room just off the entrance porch. Both showers had mildew all around including the shower heads. On the plus side the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The living room needed the lights on all the time probably due to all the overgrown vegetation around the window. The laminate literature was years out of date as the wifi had changed in 2017 but not comunicated to guests.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for us.
You'll be pleased to hear that we closed on Monday 28th October 2019 for a £120k upgrade of all 7 of our Lodges. We'd love to see you on a return trip to Birchbrae at some future time so you can benefit from the upgrade.
FYI - the laminated literature is up to date. The problem you had was connecting to the wi-fi. We therefore solved the problem by providing you with 2 alternatives which, as you know, worked perfectly for you.
