Birchbrae Highland Lodges
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed April 5, 2014

I had the pleasure of staying in Lodge 2 at Birchbrae with friends last weekend. The lodges are simply wonderful , spotlessly clean and with every amenity you could wish for. They are also maintained to a very high standard with quality furnishings but at the same time are cosy and welcoming. The communication with the owner John was fantastic , every question i asked he answered promptly .Much better choice than a hotel stay in the area. The area itself is beautiful with lovely walks and stunning scenery , we couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable weekend. We look forward to a return visit to Birchbrae in the future.

Just back from a relaxing long weekend at Birchbrae. Stayed in lodge 1 and we were delighted with the high quality furnishings and tasteful, clutter free decor. Two bathrooms, well appointed kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine together with very comfy beds. Also one of the bathrooms is just beside a spacious bootroom so perfect for changing after a day's walking, skiing or exploring.

All you need and more for a stay in one of the most stunning areas of Scotland. Located 7 miles from Fort William and similar distance to Glencoe. Good information in lodges offering ideas for days out and scenic trips, dining options, etc. Bothy on site with dvds and board games. Nice extra bonus of free access to local health club included with our stay. Car needed here but very close to a local shop and pubs.

Owner helpful and great communication re bookings and any queries. Looking forward to the next time as would not hesitate to stay again.

My family and I stayed in lodge 2 and had an amazing time. The lodge was lovely and clean and provided all amenities that we needed. The shed which provided dvds etc was a great treat. The only negative was the windows were easily opened from the inside which my toddler loved to do. Will definitely be back.

Stayed at Birchbrae 5th to 7th Feb in Lodge 7. The lodges are in a fabulous location quiet but ideally situated for those wanting to take in Argyll's fabulous scenery. The lodges are spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Would not hesitate to recommend. Owners maintain the lodges to a high standard and the local info packs have some great recommendations for things to see and do. The walk up to Inchree waterfall and a trip to Cuill Bay and Port Appin were fab.The local is the four seasons bar and restaurant which was friendly and welcoming with a cosy fire and a choice of real ales. Loved Birchbrae and will be back.

Just spent the weekend with my family at the lodges and it was great. Considering there were 6 of us and 2 dogs (albeit chihuahuas :0)) the lodge was extremely spacious and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need and a dishwasher was a wee godsend.
The DVD and games library were a great added extra and having free passes to the Ben Nevis hotel leisure centre was a nice relaxing way to spend a few hours. After a recent family bereavement a stay at the lodges provided a much needed and
relaxing break.
Owner John's communication has been great. Made to feel very welcome and myself and my family would most certainly not hesitate to stay here again. We loved it!!!
