“Great stay, very friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

We stayed 2 nights as a family with 2 boys. The hotel whilst looking bland, was very clean, great staff, fantastic value, and nice restaurant attached, which was nice as eating out a little limited in Ft William. Walking distance in 2 mins to Morrisons, mcdonalds, and train station. I would stay again if visiting area.

We had a wonderful break here. After a disasterous stay at a B&B in Fort William we were reluctant to holiday there again. Our family booked the Premier Inn at Fort William for us as a present and restored our faith in Scottish hospitality. I know there are Premier Inns throughout Britain but a hotel chain can only be as good as their local staff....even with their chain wide standards...and this one did NOT dissappoint. They'd thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable and hastle free as possible. The cleanliness of each room/throughout the whole Inn and friendliness/helpfulness of staff made us realise what highland hospitality really means. Our breakfast was well prepared and served buffet style and we could help ourselves to whatever we wanted as many times as we wanted from the variety of foods on offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Although we didn't have dinner [we'd eaten before arriving] we had a look at the selection and there was a great variety of dishes on offer. There is a themed night often in the hotel dining room..and..Monday was Chinese night. There was a choice of rices including fried/boiled, along with a selection of wonderful Chinese main dishes...there was also a good selection of sweets...lychees, banana/pineapple fritter, and fresh fruit with as much ice-cream as you could eat. After dinner coffee is freshly ground and you could refill your cup as often as you wished. The whole stay was a wonderfully relaxing break. We'd recommend the Premier Inn to anyone.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms and rooms farthest from reception area have less noise from other passing residents.

Stayed one night here. Arrived very early at the hotel (10.30 AM) as we were going hill walking and wanted to tell them that we would be arriving late that night, but were not expecting them to have a room ready. We were somewhat charmlessly informed that they could do nothing to 1400 and it din't matter what time we checked in later. We went to the restaurant to get a cup of coffee and a snack but were told we could have coffee but in terms of anything to eat the choice was either a continental or full breakfast. We wanted neither so just had the coffee. The restaurant looked basic and the bar somewhat lacking in ambiance, but then it was only £78 per night

To be fair the receptionist that night was pleasant and efficient. The room was quiet and clean, the bed nice and firm. there was a small TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The security lock on the door had been broken off as had the toilet roll holder in the bathroom. There were some pump action soap dispensers. The towels were good.

I have paid less for much better accommodation and occasionally more for worse. its hard to know what other places in the area are like, but if I go back to Fort William I think I will try somewhere else.

Reception staff very welcoming and pleasant! Rooms in great condition, very clean. In a great location with a restaurant next door, and McDonald's, Morrisons and ten pin bowling all very close by. Only one flaw would be that the bathroom fan is very noisey an comes on when bathroom light is switched on and doesn't go off again for aprox 6-7mins after causing some disturbance during the night if the person your sharing with gets up. Other than that would definitely stay in again!

Standard Premier Travel Inn ,clean room, friendly staff...a few nitpicking points I suppose, bed was too soft for me and woke up with a backache which was not good. Brewers Fayre has a pretty appalling vegetarian menu ( so didn't bother eating there), no real ale and poor breakfast choice in my opinion for the price.
Location tho' was very convenient and quiet, even tho' it was half-term. Price was much cheaper than when I had looked previously....could it be because a Travelodge has just opened in the town?

You cannot do the automated check-in here but the reception ladies are really friendly and helpful. This place is great for a good rest if you are visiting the Highlands as it is well located. We had dinner at the pub next door, but opted for breakfast at the McDonald's just a few yards away. We had no problems with parking. Surely I would stay there again.

Everything one could wish for a good night's stay and the associated catering is available at Fort William. If our room was the standard offerred to Customers one would assume that all rooms and services would be experienced by all visitors.

Room Tip: Having only slept in one room I cannot comment on other rooms in the Hotel.
