Have now stayed at Achintee B & B 4 times as a base for day walks and also as a finishing rest place for the West Highland Way. Location is excellent for this. Accommodation is very clean and comfortable and first class breakfast. Hosts Scott and Heather could not be more helpful. Another excellent few days stop and have no negative comments whatsoever! No hesitation recommending this great place to anyone.

We stayed three nights in the hostel and went for winter hikes up Ben Nevis and in Glen Nevis. We were 4 so we had a complete flat (2 twin-bed rooms, 1 living room + kitchen and 1 bathroom) for us. The location is just amazing and we really appreciated having the excellent Ben Nevis Inn restaurant just 100 m away. The path for Ben Nevis leaves directly from the Farm. The flat was very clean and spacious. In the basement there is a drying room, which is great as we were able to dry all the equipment that got wet during our hikes. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The owner, Scot, is super helpful. Great hostel!

Room Tip: If you are four you get a complete flat for yourself (in the hostel), with a large living room/kitch...

We stayed in the cottage for a week. I would highly recommend this place for you may not have a second chance to live at the foot of the highest mountain in the UK, and yet have a pub just over the fence and pathway, open till 11pm, which is attraction itself due to inside decoration, even after a long journey there was a good chance for a late night warm meal and a pint.

The cottage itself is very cosy and clean, comprises of a bedroom, bathroom and a nice atmospheric living room/kitchen with fire, all adequately equipped and has its own parking space.

Ever since I was a wee lad I wondered what it’s like to live in such a humble dwelling, it was time to remember, and lovely owners did their best to make our stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you choose this house, you will be taking strolls down memory lane to this place in future, no do...

We have been visiting Scot & Heather at Achintee for many years now, Staying in the B&B... Bunk House and cottage. The B&B in my opinion is the best in the area the en-suite being bigger that the average bedroom! breakfast at Achintee always the highlight of the day, with Scot's local knowledge and his Yorkshire bred humour makes for interesting breakfast conversations along side Heathers excellent culinary skills. Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts.

The bunkhouse is clean comfortable and has better facilities than many B&B's i have used, you will not be disappointed! And for that special get away from it all break the cottage is small, sleeping just two, cosy with an open fire is ideal for a winter stay.

All this ideally situated a few minutes from the centre of Fort William, but hidden away in Glen Nevis and surrounded by stunning scenery

We stayed one night at the B&B in early October. Scot is a great host and the room (and huge bathroom/dressing room) just what we wanted. Wonderful views over the valley and sheep pastures, and a walking trail by the river at the bottom of the garden. We had a very good dinner a short walk up the hill at the Bistro, an informal, noisy and fun place with mountaineering decor, since both the Farm and the Bistro are at the head of the trail to Ben Nevis. Wi-fi was spotty because of the location, but who needs it in such surroundings?

Room Tip: Our south-facing room had a great view.

Anyone who stays at B&B's on their holidays are used to finding the occasional awkward small bathroom, lumpy mattress or canned fruit instead of fresh at breakfast - NO worries here! The breakfast menu was completely fresh and top notch, the rooms are huge and so are the bathrooms, even to providing washcloths (hard to find in the UK) and the mattress comfy. The hosts, Scott and Heather, are absolutely lovely, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis and within a stone's throw of river walks, mountain hiking or the Ben Nevis Inn, a converted 200 year old barn at the top of their drive, this B&B with a hostel wing was the loveliest B&B experience of our 5 week tour of the British Isles. Your GPS (SatNav), will probably stop about a mile short of your destination, but stay on the one-lane blacktopped road (there's lots of spots to pass oncoming cars) and when you get to the Ben Nevis Inn take a sharp right down the steep driveway to the farmhouse. There's plenty of parking down there. This was an idyllic spot just minutes from Ft. William town centre, peaceful and beautiful.

Room Tip: Keep going up that one-lane road!

What a find this beautiful B and B was! Scott and Heather were extremely friendly and entertaining, keen to share their obvious delight in their surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they paid great attention to the little details that make a B and B stay special. An example of this was their packed lunches - thoughtfully designed so that each item was optional and individually priced, so that a sandwich could be ordered without the usual cereal bar, fruit etc if this was preferred - a simple but sensible option.
The standard of accommodation was excellent, the breakfast superb and the banter amusing. The conversation was wide ranging and lively, with stories of local characters being interspersed with perceptive comments about life in general. A wide range of interesting books and maps served to spark off some interesting debates and generate subjects for further research.
The location cannot be bettered for walks in the area or an assault on "The Ben". It is within two minutes walk of the start of the track to the summit, and two minutes walk from the Ben Nevis Inn - where good food, good beer and good cheer can be found as you stumble back from the ascent.
We are telling all our friends and relations about this great venue where you are sure to find a genuinely warm welcome - just perfect!

Room Tip: Room 2 was very spacious with great views over the garden and glen.
