Spent a wonderful week at Shepherds cottage, (Achintee farm) 17th Century cottage is cosy with modern heating but also a log/coal fire if required. Very comfortable bed, slept like logs every night. The location is superb with wonderful views and a minutes step across to the Ben Nevis Inn! All situated at the foot of the path to Ben Nevis. We saw red deer, roaming near the cottage on two occasions. The garden is also home to small birds such as chaffinches. The peace, tranquillity and relaxing atomsphere cannot be beaten. Made very welcome by the owners Scott & Heather, nothing too much trouble, very friendly hosts who provided a laundry service and internet connection if needed down at the farm. We cannot praise it highly enough and cannot wait to return

We stayed in the guesthouse for two nights as part of our honeymoon. It is very hard to fault this accommodation in any way. The location is ideal for climbing Ben Nevis, and meant that we could jump straight into a hot bath when we got to the bottom.
Scot and Heather are the perfect hosts; helpful, friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast was lovely and just what we needed before going for a climb. We would certainly stay here if we came again.

Perfectly located for the walk up Ben Nevis and spitting distance from the Nevis Inn which served excellent food. Scot and Heather were charming and courteous hosts. The accomodation was very comfortable and the breakfast superb. I would highly recommend this place to any friend.

We stayed in the 5 room bunkhouse which comprised of a single bedroom, kitchen, shower room and toilet. Enough space for 5 of us and it was well heated.

The bunkhouse has pillows and duvets so no need to bring the sleeping bags. The location is perfect, just at the start of the Track and its so nice getting straight back to bunkhouse after a long walk rather then drive onto other accomodation. No need to say anymore about Scott and Heather, other then very polite and welcoming. If we come again to the highlands and intending on climbing Ben Nevis, then this will be the place we stay !

We stayed at Achintee Farm for the third time in April 2012 after walking the West Highland Way. We stayed in 4 other places along the way, and Achintee Farm was by far the best.

Scot and Heather have been in the business for so long, they know exactly what customers need. Scot is charming and hilarious - our cheeks were sore from laughing a lot of the time... and Heather is an amazing cook. As we didn't have a car, Scot took us into Fort William in the evening when we went for dinner and again the next morning for our train home.

They get in the best food and provide an excellent service. They remember small details like where we work and what we've said about our lives and family and they are really nice people. They both treat us like good friends and nothing is too much to ask for.

The rooms are simple and very clean and the duvet cover is the most comfy duvet cover I've ever slept under! It's a must to stay in if you are doing Ben Nevis, or any other walks in the area.

If we're ever visiting the area again, we will stay at Achintee because it's the best B&B in the world! And I would always recommend a stay at Achintee Farm if only to get the chat from the very entertainin Scot and the food from the very talented and lovely Heather. x

This is THE place to stay in Fort William, especially if you want to climb Ben Nevis. It's at the foot of the mountain, and a stone's throw from the pub (which had DELICIOUS food). Scot was such a great and HILARIOUS host, and gave us lots of helpful tips. We loved staying on the sheep farm, and it was really affordable. I would definitely recommend staying here, if you want a memorable experience.

Room Tip: If you want to save money, stay in the hostel. It's got a shared kitchen, and private rooms.

We stayed in the B&B part of Achintee Farm. Excellent hosts made this stay, Scott was brilliant and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and nicely furnished and there was plenty of breakfast with lots of different choice.

There's a drying room which came in handy after a VERY wet day climbing Ben Nevis, and the Ben Nevis Inn is just at the end of the drive which served really nice food and a good place for a tipple at the end of a hard day's climbing.

Achintee Farm is right at the start of the Ben Nevis path so no need to drive anywhere - very handy, and the price for rooms is really reasonable. I'd definitely recommend this B&B.
